This lack of progress makes me wonder if all of the men involved are part of some secret society where their first priority is protecting other members. What's the name of that secret society again???
Maybe all of those people who worked got paid and the 900 mentioned above didn't get paid because they didn't do anything. Or they could be deceased individuals who somehow still get paid for years - oops... blame the system.
I imagine the murderer will be granted bail for a couple thousand dollars and have to wear an ankle bracelet that he is supposed to charge on a regular basis, blah, blah, blah. Let's save some of our upset-edness for the next gruesome murder, or the several after that. Remember to drink lots of water as we have many, many, many more murders to get through and tears to shed before year-end.
Straw vendors complaining about working full-time. LOL!!!!! Do you think they are thinking about it on a weekly basis? Based on their historic antics, I believe their thinking is something like this... *Before, I used to sell $100 on the days that I worked. Now I only makin' $75.*
However.... logic would indicate that when you were working 3 days a week making $100 a day you would be making $300 a week. Now that you're working 6 days a week you are making $450 a week. But hey, this may still go over their heads.
Interestingly, NIB recently said that the contribution pool is decreasing because Bahamians are having less kids. But yet our population is increasing. Assuming a consistent death rate, that would mean that our population is growing - but **not** with Bahamians or people who contribute to NIB.
So... we he says 'we made' who exactly is the we. He can only mean the 'Local Organizing Committee of the 50th carifta Games' because that is the only name he gave other than the Government and the Government invested over $4.4 million into it. Now that the games are over I can only assume that any left over money sitting in the Local Organizing Committee, will be returned to the Government???
Why not do what every other sensible business does and raise salaries instead of creating a whole new allowance scheme? Government really overcomplicates the smallest of issues. Makes you wonder why.
Local government may not be effective but it is a LOT more efficient and honest than central government. If local government got the budgets they need then you would see a whole bunch of MP's switching to run local governments because that's where the money will be. These crooked MP's would soon take over local governments and fill their pockets.

My family wasn't contacted either. Maybe they do a lot of guessing? Such as... there's a house so let's assume that 4 people live in it?
