Between Obie and the PLP - this country really is heading straight for the rocks and old Captain Brave is in his cabin with the music turned up and the lights down low.
Government revenue is NOT the problem. Government expenditure IS.
VAT revenues have been increasing year over year mostly because the prices of everything keeps going up. It's the wastage, the padded contracts and mis-management within the office of the PM that causes the budget deficits. The numbers boys don't need padded contracts but we all know why they get them.
I can't see this getting very far. As no nation can develop while being inundated with corruption, Step 1 of any proposed plan would be to ban the PLP from ever holding office.
So only now the police are required to turn on their body cameras when interacting with the public??? What was the old rule? To only turn them on when they are in the patrol car, or on lunch break perhaps?? Or maybe it was only a personal option to turn them on?
Other than the streets having less traffic, will the public see a difference if no government workers show up to work? Probably not. Maybe the teachers shouldn't show up to class and maybe let one of the smart kids teach. The results couldn't be worse.
