Richard Johnson still backs Dr. Minnis like that? Damn! Does he live under a rock? Does he not speak to or hear the opinions of the vast majority of Bahamians? Mr. Johnson let me be very clear... only a handful of people want to see Dr. Minnis as leader of anything again. He may well be a very nice guy (like Brave is also supposedly, I've never met Brave) but Minnis (and Brave) should not be running a country - that is not their strength.
The best way to save all Bahamians money is for Government to rightsize the public sector. Oh... and to stop adding $10million dollars to every contract for a kickback. Once they stop tiefing they can lower VAT, duty and our debt. win! win! win!!!
Oh Birdie. You do realized that when the ship sinks everyone is getting wet. Do you really think Brave is going to let you on his 2-man life-raft and share his loot? Please think about the Bahamas as a whole - not in yellow and red.
I don't need any medications so I'm really on the outside looking in on this subject but I feel for those people who are desperate to get their medications today in order to stay healthy. But I also feel for the pharmacists who need to make a certain margin in order to stay viable. And this margin will only need to increase in the coming months in order to cover higher BPL rates and most likely some minimum wage increases for a few of their staff. My suggestion - Government needs to drop VAT on medication and hopefully the pharmacies can afford to take take the remaining 5% hit on their bottom line. Then government needs to hold an election so that we can try and elect a sensible cabinet - because we've been suffering for too many years now.
Very soon there will be very little traffic on the road. Why? Because people will be too scared to even throw out their garbage let alone drive somewhere. Our local Kraven (food delivery) company better think seriously about getting armored cars and armed guards for their drivers.
Can we possibly think about implementing a maintenance plan as well? You know, so that every single building doesn't fall into complete disrepair way beyond its expected life.
