I wonder if Mr. Watson really understood how many lies and spins he would have to make in his position as press secretary for the PLP? Did he realize that his name would become garbage as a result of this post? I feel for him, I really do. But when the PLP find a sucker they take full advantage.
What's wrong with forced vacation? The private sector, and banking sector in particular, do it all the time. You have the calendar year to use your annual vacation allocation. Use it or lose it. Civil servants don't want to take vacation for several reasons: 1) They get sufficient sick days and personal days so they don't need to take vacation days; 2) Upon retirement or dismissal they get paid double time for vacation days not taken so why not keep as many of them as you can 3) They have plenty of time during the day to run errands and spend time with friends that they don't need to take a vacation day here and there to get a lot of pending chores done.
Ask Birdie. She seems fine with it. I guess she doesn't contribute much to the treasury so her thinking is... it ain't my money! Meanwhile, for the rest of us, we're thinking... they spending my money on WHAT!?
Let's just look at the obvious... too many Bahamian people (both connected and regular people - but mainly connected) are benefiting from the creation of these shanty towns that nothing will ever get done - regardless of the party in power.
For some reason Tribune no longer wants us to comment on soooo many stories. Only 1 of 8 stories to opened to comment - and none of them are court matters. What happened? PLP getting upset?
