Agreed. Why can't we comment on the Nygard/police corruption investigation fiasco? That's not even before our courts. The woman stated on TV and i'm sure in the courts that police were bribed. Are they not concerned about that? Have they not even interviewed the claimant to get names/dates? What a country!
They need to add additional tiers to the contribution scheme? Maybe more tiers can be set at $75k, $100k and $200k. These additional tiers will not have much of an impact on small or medium sized businesses.
There are quite a lot of people making some good money but who contribute the same as a Clerk.
So the end result of going to court is that the drilling can go ahead and the environmentalists can continue to look for documents and complain to the court. So... nothing has changed. I would call that exercise an entire waste of time.
People need to start picking up the phone if they are not getting a response. Don't keep sending the same follow-up to the same address if you are not getting a response.
Every hotel staff member knows that their work depends on occupancy and that occupancy is dictated (at this time) on external issues that are way outside of the scope of the hotel and their marketing campaigns. All staff have known for 9 months now that COVID and government protocols across the globe are what are in control of our tourism numbers and they expect to be 'on call' for when they are needed. Why can't the union understand this? Why is the union spouting nonsense and causing problems. The union should be focused on helping their members through these tough times by lending/giving them money.
