Speak it brother! I curse the PLP and their destruction of this country, for they have removed a piece of our foundation ever year they have held office.
In the US they perform statistical analysis to see where and at what times driving accidents and certain crimes usually occur. They then ensure that there are added police patrols and ambulances are in those areas around that time. Makes senses right?
Do we do that? It doesn't appear so, because there never seems to be a patrol car available at your nearest police station NOR do they have any 'in the area'. No longer a shocking statement unfortunately. Also 99 times out of 100 you will need to wait at least 30 minutes for an ambulance - god forbid you need one around traffic time.
But what measures will this government put in place to ensure that any future agreements made by this or any future government must be made for the benefit of the Bahamian people? Because we all know that secret contracts are where the big bucks are!!
The problem is our legal system is broken from top to bottom. People arrested for $30 of weed on Christmas day - silly! Murderers let out on bail for a couple thousand dollars - ludicrous!

Can anyone offer a sensible alternative solution? Locking up the belligerent young men for the night (or 24hours) and then releasing them when their ma comes to collect them is a solution.
Knowing how violent and unruly our young black men are and how much killing they have done over the years how can anyone possibly run to the defense of young black men so quickly, and without knowing what led up to these circumstances? think people! Were these officers beating down every young black man at junkanoo? NO! The police ARE NOT targeting young black men - they are targeting a few **certain** young black men. Why not think about the possible reasons why these men were targeted before jumping to their defense??? I have absolutely NO fear that the police are going to ever stop me and beat me down because 1) I hope to never do anything wrong to deserve it, 2) If police ever ask me to move aside I will do so immediately without puffing up my chest or making invoking comments 3) I will not hang out with boys whom I know the police are looking for and want to come tuff 4) I am not a member of a gang 5) I am not known to police.
Religion needs to be banned from politics all together. Religious people just don't think right and we don't need them making decisions in the management of our country.
