Our health care system is just like our school system, which is just like our legal system which is just like our law enforcement system. broken! broken!! broken!!! Not much in our wonderful country works as it should.
Our police focus on some stupid crap! Before we pass the marijuana law let us make it policy that we aren't going to pursue arrests of small amount of marijuana.
Taxing should not be a business for people who don't own a taxi or don't own a taxi company. That is the issue. I understand that many people have received licence plates simply for votes and continue support of a party - this is wrong. These entitled people are getting free money for doing nothing. They never had an intention to drive a taxi they simply rent it out to others. These people are disgusting and greedy and should have enough self respect and morality to return these plates so that persons who actually drive a taxi can earn a living.
We try very hard to now make it difficult for people to enter our country. When I was younger I don't recall anyone needing a visa to come here; all were welcome. Now my daughter's friends from school need us to send them an 'official' written invitation so that they can go to an embassy and apply for a visa. Crazy stuff. My belief is that other countries are somehow telling our government how to conduct business. I don't like it. After all, we have immigration agents at our airport so they should be trained sufficiently to determine ones intentions upon arrival. And those few bad people that are flagged in a database are turned around and sent back on the next flight. Sounds simple to me!!! But then again... I'm only a citizen.

Make it so an individual can put a plate on hold (say 60 days) until such time that he can prove he owns his own car. This way he can then go to a bank and borrow money to purchase a vehicle with the plate reservation in hand. Taxi drivers will then be their own Independent Business Owner and much better off.
Soon everyone is going to have so many rights that no-one has any rights. You have the right to call yourself any gender you please yet I don't have a right to call you a boy because you have a penis. You have a right to shit in the streets of San Francisco yet I don't have a right to tell you don't shit in front of my restaurant. You have anxiety so I don't have the right to clap at a concert on Oxford University's campus. You have a peanut allergy I (or anyone) am allowed to eat peanuts in school or on a plane.
Hopefully we will get back to law and order and people who don't have a right to be here will not have a right to stay. The way things are going though... we are in big, big trouble.
