What the government needs to do is to hire more intelligent, hard working people to work at all of these government offices. The problem is that we have filled our government offices with lazy, entitled, I wanna strike workers who like to suck teeth if you are now in a rush after waiting in line for 2 hours.
Before any bills are passed one has to consider how the slime in the PLP will use it for their own personal gain, if possible. Anything put in place has to have a strong and clear anti-corruption mechanism built in otherwise it will be used for pure evil by the PLP. You can actually hear the PLP chomping at their bits when they realize there is a record amount of government revenue coming in and how well the economy is going. Their personal piggy bank (i.e. the consolidated fund) will most likely be flush with cash during the next general election, thanks to the FNM. The PLP drains the bank then throws the election so that the FNM can't build the cash pile back up for them.
Taxi drivers should be protesting about how many taxi plates are issued and that they have to lease their plates instead of getting their own. That's the real problem.
Also there are 1,000 taxi's all fighting for 600 fares a day (my numbers). Is the problem that tourists/Bahamains aren't taking enough taxi rides, or is it that there are too many taxi's for the amount of business, or is it that the most taxi's are pieces of junk or is it that when tourists do take a taxi from the airport to their hotel they have to tell the driver to slow down and please put down the phone because their terrified they are going to die?
Bonuses are not a guarantee. Bonuses can also be paid whenever the company/employer decides to pay it. Usually the employer is able to show a profit to its board of directors in order to justify a bonus payment. Hard work should only guarantee a job - not a bonus.

Yet another sad day in The Bahamas. Crime does pay here especially when you get to keep all of its proceeds and clean through recently legitimized businesses. It's a tough call for our AML professionals as everyone knows where the money initially came from but no one ever prosecuted.
What's disturbing to me is that Renward is holding Hubert's hand. Why??? Get another pair of scissors if you want Renward to also be cutting the ribbon.
Why are our judges to soft? And how are lawyers allowed to just delay and delay without penalty? If the lawyers had time to write a letter explaining why they couldn't make it then obviously they knew before time that they were going to be 'busy'. The bar should be much higher than for a lawyer to just say I'm busy. He should have to show what the scheduling conflict is, why it turned out to be a conflict, including his case load and affidavit from the party involved in the other conflict. On monday one of the attorneys will be sick, the next time they will be traveling and the next time there will be some missing documents which are very important to their arguments.
