Some leaders happen to get elected during or around a huge recession. They did not create the recession, but they have to manage the government during that recession.

I think I missed the very beginning of this whole story. Why does a union leader get administrative leave? Why exactly does any corporation pay anything to any union leader? Corporations are supposed to pay staff members. Those staff members then pay a portion of their salary to a union (if they want one) and that union pays whomever they want, whatever they want.

My only hope is that you are learning from the educated class that blind faith is dangerous, and that sometimes the party you chose are not doing what you consider to be in the best interest of the entire Bahamas and you speak up against it. You never once, that I can recall, criticized the former government for their numerous missteps. Unfortunately for us all, you may very well have a chance to make amends when your PLP's get back into power. Agghh! I certainly see your point and agree with certain points. However, my logic is to use protection so that I don't have more children than I can comfortable care for. Unfortunately, our society doesn't use much logic and our men and women don't think about the child aspect; they just want sex regardless of the consequences.

Why did the officer 'struggle' with the guy? Stupid in my opinion. As soon as someone pulls out a knife, just shoot them. I'm going to try and think like an PLP for a moment... Ah, I have an idea. **How about we allocate Inagua to Haiti? That way the Haitians can travel to 'The Bahamas' unimpeded. Plus it's not such a far journey. They should then be happy and stay there and they won't try to move into the rest of The Bahamas.**
