Davis doesn't truly grasp the meaning of running in 'the red'. For Davis 'Budgets' and 'deficits' are just a bunch of letters joined together. And money is the thing that you grab out of a safe and hand to people in exchange for tings. It's never been is short supply and is always there when you reach for it.

Now the people are coming out with their sob stories - I believe NONE of them. I also assume they all have at least 2 decent cars parked in the driveway at night as well and they get their hair and nails done twice a week and can find money to hire Munroe dead quick!

Sickened says...

Remember, Munroe is only a lawyer - common sense is not a requirement.

"I've been trying to get cases to advance that view that I have because I do not like mortgage lenders and big banks taking advantage of small people..." Sounds like Munroe has it all backwards. It's these people who have taken advantage of the Mortgage Corp and the people's money all this time.

Love it - the outcome at least. In the awful event of a home invasion I hope to hear more stories like this.
Good for those occupants for keeping their wits and fighting back. I would most likely be a frozen puppy dog in that scenario.

Maybe gubment should condominumize and renovate the Freeport hotel then let Bahamians buy rooms for $150,000 and let us AirBnB the rooms. The homeowners can then vote for a management team to manage the property and start making some good money. The gubment would get about $110 million from the sale and owners would make at about $30,000 a year (renting at $150 a night for 200 nights - 55% occupancy).

So, I could borrow $20,000 from a bank to borrow a car, then turn around and sell the car for $16,000 then not pay anything on my loan - the bank takes the car from the new owner (so the bank is satisfied) - I get to keep the $16,000... so the only loser is the guy who bought the car from me? I walk away scott free with $16,000 in my pocket? I just need to wait and see if the guy who purchased the car from me will make a personal claim on me in court (so I got about 5 years to enjoy the money before the case gets decided).

This would be a wonderful thing.
