I vote for forgetting our past because it is not one that we should be particularly proud of. Our country has prospered from pirating to gun running to rum running and drug running. Our economy, infrastructure, healthcare and legal system is in a shambles. We have not advanced as a nation. We should NOT be proud of how far we have gotten since independence. we must do better!!! When we start to advance as a country THEN we can start handing out awards.

I AM proud to be Bahamian but I am NOT proud of our achievements so far.

I, and most Bahamians I notice, no longer go to the side when these outriders come by. However, I will go up on a sidewalk if an ambulance is coming. Perry destroyed the grandeur of the outrider with his arrogance.

I heard that a group of the people that got poisoned were waiting at PMH for over 7 hours before being seen. Sitting next to blood and bandages waiting to be seen.
That hospital is the most disgusting place on the planet. But who cares!!!!

I'm sure there's also a lot of vomit, feces and other fluids put into the water at Potters Cay. Let's not forget dead rats and dogs and diesel and oil and other lubricants. Well it didn't kill this last set of people so I guess they are stronger now.

"Bilge pumps are designed to come on when they are submerged in water so even if there is a spark it doesn’t get to vaporized fuel."
Not 100% accurate. The electrical lines/connections to the bilge pumps are all above the water level in the bilge, only the float switch and pump intake would be below that water line if the boat was taking on water or had a fuel leak.

I'm sure that there is a tourist market for this as well in that many people in Canada and the US need to take marijuana on a daily basis for medical reasons. Chances are they don't travel because they can't get their daily dose in the country/state they would like to travel to. Wouldn't it be great if they know that they can travel here and still be able to access their prescription (THC level and all that) while on vacation. There may not be millions of these tourists at the moment but there are thousands (probably tens of thousands) that would like to visit - and we could certainly use a few thousand more room nights a year!
