its refreshing to see a business stand up to these special interest socialists. if they worked with as much effort as they put into defying their employer, maybe we would be the best little country in the world.
we need to learn lessons from this.. its taxpayers money.. why did it happen? what firefighting capability was at the station? can this happen at other BPL sites? was the equipment and other stuff insured? we dont need BPL upping their request fir alms from $500m to $1.0bn.
its the same old story with things government related.. neglect forever, then speak about it like it all suddenly occurred, like national insurance for example.. all these small countries have perfected kicking hard issues down the road.. whatz next, the big govt pension obligation?
he who is without sin, cast the first stone. Mr. Smith made great contributions to this country and at this time we should be respectful of that rather than mud slinging.
The real question is where does it all end? Will the Catholic church be next for all they did hundreds of years ago in the name of religion? then there is the other side of the coin. Do we owe the colonialists for the education, political and economic systems they gave us without which we'd be still playing catchup? its a futile exercise this always looking back mentality? let sleeping dogs lie and look to the future.
