Really its a farce.. we see junkanoo rushing at independence and all these cookouts and homecomings with crowds in close proximity and no mask.. its just fear of an outbreak and it gets blamed on no mask, so take safe route and do nothing. we will not achieve 70% until.another deadly strain materializes.
unfortunate situation, but people need to wake up to the reality that the government is broke. if ever a time to privatize, its now. the days of big government are gone. every enterprise has to stand on its own or collapse.. users have to pay the fees for service and the employer only agree to what those fees can support.
reality is that slowly but surely more bahamians will slide from middle class to lower class as cost of livng continues to skyrocket... we dont have the quantity of high paying quality jobs to offset the D average generation and low paying tourism jobs despite the few $100k per annum housekeeping and life guard jobs.
there is enough questionable behaviour surrounding Gibson's time as Exec Chairman at WSC to warrant investigation.. no right thinking person should have a quarrel with that.
i wonder why businesses try to BS the public with releases about executives resigning effective immediately. clearly they ask them to go or be sent. why these charades? nobody wants to call a spade, a spade anymore.
i dont see rate increases as a solution.. need to get spending under control. any money given to govt goes into the slush fund a.k.a consolidated fund for pet projects, funding of loss maling adventures eg. bahamasair and for handouts to cronies.
people help me understand.. if your margin is fixed, why do you 'hurt' because the price went uo? is it because customers may buy less? no sarcasm, i'm serious.
