if we sell all the sorry loss-making government SOEs, stop giving contracts to bidders who dont insure buildings that burn down with the taxpayer holding the bag and stop giving these Unions outrageous contracts so you get voted in next election, no more taxes woukd be needed. taxation is the lazy man's solution.

SOEs can fir the most part be off the taxpayers by sellin them. why does govt have to own everything ? evidence is they fail because the temptation to put your fruends in charge and to abuse authority using them for political benefit is too great. socialism is a failure and we should try oir best to cut ties with that before we end up as another failed state.

small wonder we are $12bn in debt and climbing. the expectations for handouts and free stuff in this country is shocking. we can't keep pretending we can do same things as 1st world countries. smh.

Apart from Wilson saying so, what evidence supports his claim? this happens a lot.. politicians and senior civil servants maje statements but there is no independent analysis .. it may have gone up but is it because more bahamians traveled or cost of goods increased or due comparison with covid data? how do we know?

nobody talks about all the 'claims' for medical visits by lazy workers with fake complaints. doctors charge for these and writing sick slips for non-existent complaints..
