Uniform branches assigned to maintain law and order should be equipped for any eventuality at all times unless they have prophets among them. Would we prefer that things get out of hand first then respond? If you wait to see a need, you've waited too long.
Two comments.. why does lockdown have to be a mystery until 1 or 2 days before? You know cases are high, you know it wont change, you know you going to lockdown.. so just tell the public so they have adequate time to prepare and stores adequate time to rrstock so you dont find empty shelves like in Caracas or Havana.
Next point, you lower numbers post lockdown and they bounce back like all the times before.. what did you accomplish? Is it really a solution?
There is something fundamentally wrong with a system where you get elected by voters from one party then as a personal decision, betray that vote by joining another party that those voters did not support. Its time for some kind of constitutional amendment where if a member wants to switch, you vacate the seat and hold a bye-election.
I'm confused.. to my knowledge, anybody can enter the country today via commercial airline if any flying.. just need negative test ans be prepared to quarantine.
So when we reopen and cases rise again (since a permanent solution still some way out) , what then? Wouldn't it be better to figure out how to manage living with it rather than shutting down all the time? We might save a few people, but lose an entire generation due the massive debt down the road.
I wonder if it has anything to do with working for less than $1000 per week and not threatening to walk of the job whenever the ice cooler runs out of ice.. i wouldn't even mention the $400m investment.. haven't exactly heard about too many of us doing the same.. i guess its reality.. in a perfect world you make perfect decisions but in the real world, you make real decisions.
As much as i wish we could avoid this, i have to agree that GB needs a properly equipped and functioning airport and hospital. Its just sad so much money was wasted by successive incompetent governments that we have to debate the merits of investments that otherwise woukd be 'no brainers'.

I agree with earlier post.. if person is deceased, what is the point of landing here? A possible resurrection? I mean the person is dead.
