just because you can do something e.g. display party loyalty, its probably not too smart in a small society like ours. Even in the USA, Trumpites are trying to discredit everything and everyone ever affiliated with Obama or Clinton. on the other hand, as i am aware, in the Bahamas an employer does not have to give any reason to cut you loose. its just the way it is..
so a seller is motivated and you get a good deal.. Inland people say we dont believe it.. only in the Bahamas is the burden of proving anything on the accused and not the accuser..
when times are good, people find jobs. conversely, if times aren't the best, some folks will lose their jobs. PLP dont believe in this basic fact, thats how in part we came to be $6.0 billion in debt. don't believe this is so, ask RBC, Barclays, City Markets and other folks who used to be employed and dont have jobs anymore..
as long as reliable intel comes in and if the DEA can supply info., then raid man, raid. this town needs some shaking up and the bandits need to know that justice can come from any direction and at any time..
i guess we will wait to get slapped down and rebuked again by the big boys.. no point in small, no name places like ours trying to rewrite the playbook. if a model law exists, be assured the big boys, will accept nothing else, thats why they write these model laws, to throw you some hints...
isn't it strange how when a politician talks nonsense, another colleague has to say what he meant to say? he said what he said, and i'm certain he meant it exactly how he said it. many of them, current and former politicians, are absolutely convinced that they should be treated differently from me and you.
scary thing to contemplate.. NHI supposed to be a viable alternative to private insurance for who cant afford. not yet fully implemented and look at the situation as it exists today... IMHO, we dont have sufficiently extensive and adequately staffed and equipped facilities to offer care to who needs it, when they need it. sounds good in theory, but reality is something else..
random checks is how the business operates.. how you think they catch pilots who were drinking too much just when they get to the airport? you need to offer bounties for people to turn folks in.. you need big fines and seizure of aircraft to drive the point home.. you need to charge the folks who paid to fly like they do the guys they catch on the corner trying to buy dope or solicit a prostitute.. lots can be done and laws can be passed to make thesr things stick, but at the end of the day, if no enforcement, then forget it. its scary enough flying bahamasair, dont know how folks risk themselves with these other guys..
