wouldn't these agricultural type imports be gassed with insecticide before leaving point of origin knowing the potential for this kind of thing? it also now raises the question of anti -venom in the country. we also know FL has a python problem. what are we doing proactively to minimize that snake showing up here?
i agree with PM that its long standing issue. he speaks of money being spent to keep people on the island or to encourage then to return. however, the very statistics he refers too proves that money is not having the desired effect and therefore one must ask should it be spent where people are and therefore where it will be most impactful?
one would have to be a textbook dunce to not see how the play with statistics in recent times has fooled so many. if one person visits my shop this week and 2 come next week, thats a 100% improvement for sure, but it wont keep me in business.
so whats the problem with an employer, who is carrying the cost, complaining about why the court system is inefficient? isnt this supposed to be a democracy where people are entitled to query things?
Armed with this dsta (which is shocking news to nobody), one has to question the hundreds of millions of dollars being spent by govt to put state-of-the-art this and state-of-the-art that, in these places where nobody wants to live. another example of why small island socialist states become champions of debt.
De. Romer says its an ICAO requiirement. he says it ensures they know the regulations. that alone should be enough. why would a union not want their members to know their legal obligations? its inconceivable that pilots should get some kind of free pass given the responsibility of what they do. its scary to know that today you are putting your life in the hands of folks who dont know the rules.
the socialists would like you to believe this ... residents no longer pay for the first 200 kWh of electricity used each month ... but we all know that's not so. we are paying that somewhere.
perspective is a funny thing... if that 6.3% was a pay offer to one of our greddy unions, they woild say not enough but when a business does the same thing so they can survive, the talk is its too much...
