matters resolved with a gun to the head of gov't is more like it. seems more like being held for ransom not negotiation. no wonder $7.0bil in debt and climbing..
if proven, what a classic example of corruption. How ironic that the man who saw no problem reading other people's email, may now become a victim of his own methods. everlasting thanks be to God that what goes around, comes around.
the 'sick out' is a poorly disguised and cowardly form of industrial action. have some balls man.. take a strike vote and walk if u believe in what u are doing. equally, the employer should then be able to do whatever suits him in response.
why is government adding to the national debt by compensating policy holders of a failed private company? suppose i invest in a private company and make a bunch of money as a shareholder, in line with this thinking should i share that with government?
we probably have one of the most expensive and worst taxi systems in the world. most of the cars are junk. when are we going to join the modern world and have taxi companies with identifiable names and paint schemes that use meters, etc. other places warn travelers about riding unofficial taxis.. how can u tell the difference in the Bahamas?
PowerSecure must be wondering what the hell they got into.. allegedly brought in to manage and presumably reduce losses or at least breakeven while improving reliability.. well how do you do that when the owner says give power away? of course they are only intended to be scapegoats and take heat off gov't for failing to provide reliable, affordable electricity after all these decades..maybe they will have to start selling tours to tourists to show what happens when government runs a business..
Minnis' plan 'will lead the Bahamas into bankruptcy'.. probably true, but Wilson must have meant to say deeper into bankruptcy since i think we are pretty much there already... writing has been on the wall a while now..
