Moncur is good for laughs but senate appointment? and the fisherman says he will put LI back on the map.. what thinking for a would-be national leader, his concern totally selfish interest. we are in trouble as we have no leaders with plans of substance about anything..
we've been heading in this direction for sometime. looking at the PLP performance that had plenty to do with where we are, and looking at the quality of recent Senate appointments, i don't think there is any reason for hope. we used to laugh at our Caribbean neighbours and how much better we were economically, well look at us now...
doesn't matter what Francis says.. he and his colleagues at the time are going to be villified, tarred and feathered.. brother Wilson has already concluded that the deal was rubbish..
hopefully one day we'll get past this sissy BS about disrespect, etc., everytime people don't bow to politicians. this kind of god syndrome mentality has to end!
you see those names from government side on this committee? you have any doubt what the report will say with or without the facts to back it up? give me a break....
this is how the gov't thanks those who pay their tax on time and in full... say its because the bill is too low and since you can pay, we'll need you to pay more to make up for those who don't pay. no problem with this as long as we see those thousands of properties that never paid, seized and put to auction...then those who can pay can buy and flip them to make up for the extra taxation... gov't and lawyers would make money too from fees and stamp duty...
This is all nice and good but is government at the same time going to aggressively reducing the wasteful spending of taxpayer $$$ like in the award of building contracts to persons who don't have insurance when the building burns down, or like the $25-30 million wasted at Bahamasair each year, or the better-than-private sector contracts they agree with the Unions, etc.?
To sum up, what this all means is these lousy f'ers weren't doing their jobs while faithfully collecting those large salaries and accumulating tenure for a fatter pension. Paid for doing nothing and now, as though they have discovered gravity or something, they talk about doing the obvious. F%*k me..,
Right hogfish.. this bunch are so intellectually dishonest. They did nothing to take credit for whatever reduction currently exists then versus now. Thank Iran and Iraq for pumping more oil and slowdowns in economies elsewhere. I guess next they'll claim they invented the internet or some other outrageous B.S.
