Gomez is the only one worth re-electing... the man has character and honour, unlike say Fitzgerald who threw his constituents under the bus to keep his job...

well this is what happens when you dont let the law take its natural course. you cant demand, insist or pursue any action just hope the boys will do you a favour and drop a few crumbs.. we have lost our pride and dignity.

whats these people's problem.. i travel all over and i see crew, pilots and cabin attendants, being screened and patted down, etc. what makes this bunch any different. rules are rules except apparently in the Bahamas.. again these unions are out of hand. we need legislation to criminalize this economic sabotage...

this matter should have ben addressed according to law fron day one just like every other dispute between parties is done. now some will be satisfied and some will not. next thing those not made 'whole' will expect the gov't (meaning taxpayers) to pay the difference just like Gulf Union bank, Clico, etc.

i dont know how the US Embassy did not warn Power Secure that they would only be scape goats for the failure and shortsightedness of all our previous governments? BEC like its cousins W&SC and Bahamasair has been providing sh*^y service for decades and now its all suddenly Power Secure's problem? give me a expletive break...

Looks like the socialists and communists are having their way. I mean make it a criminal offense to not notify government how you are going to run your business when it concerns staffing? Check all the overstaffing at government corporations and in the public service and tie that to the huge percentage of the national budget just for salaries and benefits, then tie that to the ever increasing national debt, How could any private employer exist if pressured to behave in like manner? In wonderland things are just getting curiouser and curiouser. God help us....

Didn't Moody's and them just days ago caution about government spending? We had plenty MPs and Ingraham cut the number. With plenty and with few the results have been the same. No representation worthy of mention. The MPs don't know what their people agree or disagree with e.g. Recent referendum that all MPs supported. If we accept they represent their people and know their views, how could the results be the complete opposite?

With all respect to the previous post, I don't think anybody ever got a loan who did not apply for it. This country was formed with bloated government since the legacy laggards named I.e. Bahamasair, ZNS, W&SC and BEC in recent times were all in existence from day 1 and have not gotten any better. This government does not have the depth to carry these entities.. They have to be privatized. The market forces will sort things out after that..

Have to agree with Miller but the problem isn't the Union demands, they can come to the table and ask for anything. The real problem is big government. Why is government in businesses that could be owned and operated by private companies? Governments in small 3rd world developing countries like the Bahamas, are subject to voter blackmail. They don't think cost at the negotiating table, they think votes. At the end of the day they don't agree what they can afford, they agree what they need to for labor peace and hopefully votes as a result. Private companies put it to you cold, this is what we can afford, take it or leave it.
