Don't be surprised. It feeds into the national narrative of nastiness which has been cultivated by political parties. We lost all our senses when it comes to decency and respect for each other. A nation of gossips, liars and pessimists.

Again we have a serious national discussion which has descended into personalities. It doesn't really concern me what one individual thinks. We as Bahamians should be asking the question as to how we address the lack of access to healthcare in this country. A lot of resource is spent without proper direction and this is across the board in the public sector. The medical community should be leading this charge in my opinion not resistant to it. Physicians are often times frustrated with the quality and pace of things in the current system. But still they sit in it and complain. Healthcare requires a lot of human resource and collaboration. Bahamians need to work together to start solving our country's problems. Not every issue has to be so contentious and argumentative. Healthcare is a big deal. I wouldn't want politics and personal issues to cloud this discussion. But alas we make everything a blood sport here.

It has nothing to do with blaming at this point but a proportional response to matters. We all know the problems that exist and some problems require extreme measure or we all go down. You mention the Paris ordeal. What was most impressive to me was that the French fighter jets were in the air 48 hours after bombing the s#!t out of parts of Syria where terrorists might be. Then they closed their borders. Whether we think it's the right move or not, they at least have the sense to stand together and respond to a national problem. We on the other hand still playing games and talking shit.

The Prime Minister must do better. His concern is simply not enough to quell this mess. We as Bahamians need some tough loving. We are an undisciplined people who require serious measures to remain in line. I watch the behavior of the police sometimes and it is appalling. Went to a party earlier in the year. The police in a patrol unit came got food and alcoholic beverages and then left. These guys were on duty. So wtf do we expect? A slack lawless country.

With all the chatter of who is to blame I can only say one thing. This one really sadness me. I didn't know the young lady but boy this one is hurtful. May God in his mercy take care of her children and comfort her family.

Whether D'aguilar believes in Sarkis' ability to 're-invent or not is nobody's business. As a director and a friend I guess he's all yo happy to jump to support Izmirilian. This is his right. But, what annoys me with this guy is that he never once appears to be in support of the affected Bahamian. He mentions the impact to the worker as a sideline, but his overarching commentary always appears to be in support of Izmirilian. Well I have a few questions old boy. Why weren't you asking Izmirilian, well what the F? When they snap and snook the bankruptcy. Why didn't you advise him better with the regards to the way his actions would be perceived? Instead of being a commentator with only criticism of the government why didn't you ask them why Bahamian construction crews weren't being paid? The Bahamian companies being paid had nothing to do with the poor work of the Chinese. So why doesn't D'aguilar ask that? I will say it again, all of them are to blame. The Chinese, the developer and our government all carry some blame. This stupid attitude by Sarkis that he is blameless is sickening. To see D'aguilar prostrate himself is equally sickening.

@mokeedoo. Totally agree. Better service at good prices is what we want. I don't know why we have to make everything political. To these private utilities providers we need to send a clear message that service and competitive pricing is what we demand. Cable Bahamas gets away with too much nonsense.

So help the people or shut f#@k up. What the hell you bringing this to the media for? Bran just need to go sit down. Okay perhaps he's right. But if it's not good for your business then simply pull out and move on. Always looking for headlines man.

Let's not get so worked up people it's art. Some of us may not agree with the artist or think it's distasteful. That being said, this is what art is suppose to do. It evokes an emotional response from the viewer. I still don't get why Bahamians take offense to everything.

Simply put, the justice system is in serious need of an overhaul. The assertion by some folks that this is some personal battle between the minister and Fred Smith is stupid. Our immigration problems and shoddy criminal justice system reach far beyond either man. I am sick of hearing Fred Smith champion human rights only when it serves his own purposes. Equally frustrating is the government's inability to lay down solid legislation which is carried out by a competent and capable border security department. The attorney general's office should be absolutely ashamed of itself. Sloppy work.
