The same stupid play book from the same stupid teams. If Mr. Minnis hasn't yet realized e-commerce has changed the world. With the click of a mouse you can pretty much buy anything and have it shipped, the same day in many cases. The model for Bay Street should perhaps be more directed towards developing living, entertaining and restaurant spaces. Nassau must be a living, breathing city. Putting a bunch of stores there which close at 5 is not the answer. There has to be a mixture of culture, food and arts. The time is now to install bike lanes and proper parking structures. This should really be a time for planning and truly laying out the city of Nassau. Uh uh Mr. Wilchcombe if you believe duty free shops are the solution then you're really lost.
What a stupid, pig-headed approach these people have. Ok fine, non one is perfect but people must learn to admit when there is a flawed process. There's no need to take it personal. The procedures and plans were simply poor and NEMA can say whatever they want but, simply put they dropped the ball on this. It is quite arrogant and silly to think that one has all the answers and it appears the attitude of this low level NEMA official. Frankly speaking she shouldn't even be heard from. The director needs to take public criticism and stop hiding behind politicians. How can they say with a straight face that they were prepared? It would be better and more honest to simply say 'we were caught off guard, we will work to improve our systems and we apologize most profusely to Bahamians affected.' But no they make a statement about their training and how much they trained. Well how about this. Your training sucks and didn't do anybody any good so go get re-trained so you can be of some use next time.
What a loser. I'm so sick of hearing from Rollins. Close your mouth and simply go and help. Not everything requires commentary. Ok, fine you may feel the government handled the responsibility poorly and Minnis is being paraded. But I just feel this guy doesn't know how to simply observe and learn. It is always for him to open his clapper and go on as if he has all the answers.
Well said. They are throwing money at a broken system. There is gross inequality in the current system, coupled with run down resources and lack of personnel. This NHI is a recipe for disaster and will become a financial black hole. I have no problem with NHI in principle, but the planning is poor and there are other factors that should be considered when talking about putting together a well run health system.
Hmmm, was a bit harsh. Perhaps harshness is what is needed for people to wake up and smell the roses. The challenge with most of these recent graduates is reading, basic writing and arithmetic skills. Why hire a waitress/waiter who can't add or subtract? Many of them just don't have the basics and we are graduating them just so. In the end, the business owner suffers because customer service ends up being poor which in turn leads to fewer customers and significant financial losses. They are their own worst enemy. So when you see these businesses shutting down you have to consider there are a number of factors, but the main factor is a poorly trained workforce.
I don't see why differences in opinion are viewed as dissent. Bradley dem are delusional and pig headed. Seems likely them and them alone are suppose to benefit. Nobody else in this country is given a fair shot as long as these hogs in power. All for me baby!
Both Perry and Bradley have to effin joking. I have no respect for these dudes whatsoever. I don't think Brave would be a good leader for the party but my God where do these two clowns get their balls? I am so annoyed at the lack of courage and good sense the people in the PLP have on this matter. Simply put, Perry needs to carry his rass. The sooner the better.
Ah D'aguilar just go away. Between you and Mr. Wilson I don't know who's worse. Somehow these people are seen as the authority on all things business. Ok fine, you've done well personally but geez just keep quiet on some things.
