There is no point to be missed here. All we ask is for the bul#$t to stop in our parliament. Nothing more nothing less. No deep thought or analysis necessary. Simply look at things that require fixing and address the problem.

The income of the physician has nothing to do with this. So why bring it up? We simply need to address some fundamental questions. Do we need some form of health safety net? I would say yes. Second. In what form should it take? Third. How is it to be funded and managed? Simple questions that politicians need to answer. We keep allowing both sides to run on with politics. Answer the tough questions and find solutions is what you're paid to do.

9 million spent on nonsense when hundreds of Bahamians are losing their homes. We are under the burden of VAT and they have stuck the attack dogs on many older Bahamians for RPT. Then comes NHI next year. Decimate the middle class why don't you. Taxes were inevitable I agree but not at this fast a rate. All this pressure on the daily living of your people, yet 9 million spent to bachanal and get on bad in the streets. Would this old mule of a prime minister please go away?

Now there are few things left unaddressed which shows that immigration reform appears to be a very personal issue rather than a national one for Mr.Smith. First, the immigration department under the FNM carried out raids. Where was your voice then? Second, how could a man appointed QC in this country want to tear it down and actively threaten international pressure? It seems to be that a QC in this country should want to keep fighting for his cause but would do nothing to impune or damage the image of this country. Third, why do you behave as if it is just Mr. Mitchell you are having some personal war with? Many Bahamians are fed up with illegal immigration, even the official opposition have not seen these so called abuses of which you speak. So why are you the only person receiving these reports? I'm just tired of hearing the nonsense and being made to feel as if we are wrong for enforcing immigration laws. You speak of Haitian rights but I've not heard you once defend the Bahamas against false allegations. Its one thing to say the government is doing something wrong but you never seem to want to set the record straight. It is always this constant threat of trying to internationally embarrass the country. Never any concern for who you say are your own people. The New York Times or any other international report can say anything and you have not objective critique. You stay silent, not willing to admit that these reports are not entirely accurate. With such disdain for the Bahamian people and government why are you even a QC? You surely appear to represent the interests of others rather than the best interests of this country.

Cash is one self righteous guy. You complain that the bank isn't performing but don't want to make cuts. I say fire more including the managing director and board. The whole lot should go. A non performing bank with a huge government bailout.

Get real. Minnis is dishonest and disingenuous. Anyone who has some idea about healthcare and its administration knows a hospital is more than a building. The equipment, staff and the operational components are challenging. Especially when Cavalier construction has noted the many vexing design changes. So Minnis needs to be honest. The critical care block is not a panacea to the problems of our healthcare system. We have a poorly run system with limited resources. Bahamians didn't want to pay taxes for years but want the best in healthcare technology. We have to get real and stop the political bull$#@t. Government after government has neglected the healthcare system and these jokers behave as if this is the answer to their problems. What about the family islands with years of neglect of education, healthcare and decent safe airports? Chew on that you donkey.

Stapedius says...

Well what rock did he just crawl out from? I mean and on such benign nonsense. How about he apologize for being a lame, weak minister.

Stapedius says...

Spare the bull$#it. The Bahamas has been borrowing money for many years. Where do you think IDB/World Bank funds come from? Now we may not agree with who we are borrowing from and thats fair. But let us stop pretending as if we haven't been here before. We cry about borrowing but many of us the same ones who don't want to pay any tax. Now I'm not saying we should drown ourselves in debt, but in case many of you haven't noticed we are already in the shit. When we get defense force vessels, equipment etc from the US you think its free? Hell no. There's a price to be paid. It may not be in currency but there is a price. Countries borrow all the time this is nothing new. We just have to be disciplined enough to settle the debt. The US went all over Europe after the war of Independence to borrow money from then wealthy European nations. John Adams was principally tasked as an ambassador to seek out funding. We have to stop being overly dramatic about everything and try to navigate our way through crisis.

They deserve to get screwed. The leader is problematic from day one. Union leaders in thus country are just rowdy people. They have no negotiating skills and no well thought out strategies. All they know is gimme, gimme, gimme or we will strike. They would rather the entire ship sink to save themselves. Same goes for the pilots and BEC folks. Its only about them.

A donkey he is, as described before. I put the PM, Fred Smith, Rodney Moncur and a few others in a special category. Had a professor who would say "your cerebrum is globally confused." He was politely saying stop being a dumba@$. I relay these sentiments to the PM. WTF 'black party?' Would the PLP please have the good sense and the balls to elect a new leader. We are too emotional in these political parties. We take things too personally. Perry has done his time and his rhetoric is beyond annoying. He is slow moving, decrepit in his ability to get this country moving economically and simply out of date. This is the exact reason young people don't want to vote for either party. These guys just won't clear off and let a transition take place within these parties and the country. Even the 'so called retirees' getting media coverage. Just go away and sit down.
