So much has already been said to whip the man. Of course he has made some mistakes and errors in judgement and he has recieved heaps of criticism over the last six weeks. But when is it enough? Ok the home has been lost. When has someones home repossession become such a public affair. There are many high profile people in this country in similar situations and I cannot recall seeing ZNS news on the scene. We are a personal, nasty set of people in this country. The bailiff is a disgrace because the scene is under his control and he has the right to determine who is allowed on or near the property. I truly feel sorry for his wife and kids because I'm sure they are carrying this weight just as much as he is.
Funny that the many Christian leaders in this country who openly support gambling which is currently and illegal act cannot open their mouths on this. Right, so Lightbourne didn't pay his taxes but the webshops still running and Atlantis and others still have big light bills. We are some hypocrites in this country.
@ThisOurs. I absolutely agree that PGC has a self aggrandizement problem. It is shameful for him to present himself as some saviour in all this. I'm beginning to question the mental faculties of the PM. He has made some of the most amateur political mistakes I have ever seen. He walks right into stupid situations and doesn't appear to know how to resolve them. In both his administrations the Cabinet has been out of control. No one says you must be a dictator, but for crying out loud keep these people in check. Everyone saying what they want, when then want.
Why is this spat being protracted longer than it has to be? Too many games being played in this country. Pastor Munroe should take a step back from it all. It is as if he is attempting to keep pressing the issue more than it has to be. Honestman is totally correct in saying that non one payed Fred any mind when he made the comments. Interestingly, I've noticed that Ranford Patterson the President of the Christian Council made one of the silliest comments I've heard from a pastor. He said something to the effect that he would not vote for a gay candidate. He should ask himself,'What would Jesus do?'
In saying this I've not heard one pastor object to such nonsense. It is a hateful tone that he and many others in country use when they speak of gays. Whether a person is gay, straight, black, white, yellow should not be an issue. We are all God's children and we answer to him not to these jumped up pastors who divide rather than guide God's people.
SP you are too angry dude. Take it down a notch. No need to go crazy on the issue. Recognize whatever you want. I don't see the need for the recognition that he is of Bahamian heritage. He's an American. The question was a rhetorical one, so no need to get yourself all wound up.
@SP who says he was recognized? That is why I asked the question what is he? Is a Bahamian or an American? I don't believe in this bull about Bahamian-American etc.Now turn your head and take the huge chip off your shoulder.
The guys with lil 'R' after their name as you put it do have an affinity for war. So is he American or Bahamian? I just don't want to see another mix up like the guy in Abaco or the Ryan Pinder drama. When you look in a few years time he's running in Yamacraw for a seat.
We all seem to miss the point here. At every turn, people in this country want to use Biblical reference to suit their own purposes. Its nice that you know the Bible but, often the problem is the tone in which these comments are made which is so unchristian. For people who claim deep seeded belief in Jesus we really say some hurtful things to each other. On both sides of the argument there needs to be a better tone of speech. We are far too personal in this country. The minister's private life is no ones business. How much pastor Myles makes etc is also no ones business. We fall into this nasty speech far too easily in this country.
I'm amazed at how everyone seems to have all the answers for human emotion and human evolution. Interestingly, we use such a small percentage of our neural capacity, yet we think we have all the answers. We look to explain all the conditions of mankind with a 'silver bullet,' approach never considering the many gray areas in our own lives. If we truly believe in the message of Jesus then we should always strive for tolerance, forgiveness and genuine love for each other.
Police harassment is for real in this country. They are unprofessional and not well trained. The problem is its more uneducated than educated on the force and this is the root of the problem. But they are a product of us and who we are. So we can only blame ourselves for the gross mediocrity now displayed in our country.

I can't condone the negative and homophobic remarks being made. But Mr. Smith does appear to love the cameras.
