This is a ludicrous analysis. The first steps in cleaning up a disastrous mess are to find out where and what the problems are. This PLP theft-ocracy has left the entire apparatus of government in total chaos. The new government is doing exactly the right thing in making their first priority the identification of all the problems. You cannot start solving problems until you know what the problems are and to what extent they have been permitted to putrify under PLP malfeasance.
In this case a lease is a fraudulent theft of public money, negotiated by public officials for their financial benefit with corrupt private parties who were provided public property for their material gain. Attempting to cloke this theft as a legal contract is shamefaced misrepresentation.
According to Mr. Miller it is such "foreigners" who are causing all the problems. I guess they can run power companies in Florida, but it's something about the air over here a few miles a way that turns them into saboteurs.
When will the Bahamas enact criminal conspiracy legislation similar to that that has been so effective in the States. It is gangs that are responsible for most of the horrific street violence. The RICO statutes enabled the U.S. to close down the mafia and those statutes are being effectively used to close down violent street gangs as well.
Well said, but of course you must remember Mr. Miller's comment to a similar suggestion when he was running the power grid: "If all the wealthy foreigners go solar, who is going to pay to run the power company?" It should have read, "Who is going to pay for all the skimming by the PLP?"
...and if you believe this crock, I would like to meet to sell you some farm land between N.P. and Rose Island that I promise will rise out of the sea, thirty days after you pay for it. This blatant PLP theft scam has been exposed in Punch for months and months. Where was the good Board Member during all that if he is so ready to bring a legal action?
They villify Save the Bays which has never made any political contribution to anyone, because of that organization's legal efforts to put a halt to Peter Nygard's serial environmental crimes, which offended their chief donor, supporter and ultimately their "owner". Don't forget "Take back my Bahamas". Just more totally corrupt PLP selling out the Bahamas and Bahamians to the highest bidder.
..and exactly what does that have to do with the point of the article. These phony and outragous lies about Save the Bays making political contributions is nothing but an attempt to cover up your glorious PLP's toting for Peter Nygard, and protecting him from the enforcement of environmental laws of the Bahamas.
