Tarzan says...

"Shortly before 4pm, a man was sitting in front of a convenience store on Farrington Road when a man in a silver Honda Fit approached and shot him before speeding off. A woman who was standing nearby was also shot."

"As the officers approached, the vehicle sped towards them, injuring and one of the officers."

Your right Tal, nothing to see here. Move on. Seriously?

Tarzan says...

Seriously Tal: How about all your PLP pals make public their e-mails and financial records?. They are the ones who are supposed to do that as a matter of law right? Since when do private operations have to make public their most confidential financial records? Has it occurred to you that many, many NGO's serve to keep government honest? Do you know what happens in many, many countries (including these Bahamas) if the donor list of certain NGO's is made public? This breach of purely private records is nothing less than an assault on free speech, and the rights of the citizens of this country to protest and lobby for the environment as opposed to political corruption and cronyism, and you Tal are defending the wrong side.

Tarzan says...

No doubt. These "wraped in the flag" patriots are totally silent on this man's arrogant abuse of the this country. He calls everyone who tries to limit his lawless behaviour a racist. Here is a good question for Tal and John: What kind of person would say what Nygard is on video saying about this country's highest elected official? Seriously who is the racist? Nothing in Mr. Bacon's background supports this libelous reference that Nygard makes time and again. The "big lie" that is his style.

Tarzan says...

The material published by Save the Bays was NOT political in nature. It was factual and showed that despite overwhelming evidence Mr. Nygard was being permitted to break the laws of this country which he has been doing for years. What is "political" about that?

Tarzan says...

Tal stop your weaving and ducking.

Of course Save the Bays, just as does the Bahamas National Trust, or any organization that has long term goals, has salaried employees. How do you know what their salaries are? The smelly crap published in Parliament admittedly from "the political garbage can"? Really? Is that the standard of journalism you would expect from the newspaper of record in this country?

When are you going to address these obvious facts:

1. Nygard has been building on the seabed for years in a totally illegal and unauthorized manner. His "natural accretion" claim is beyond laughable. There are serial photos of his concrete pouring onto the seabed.
2. The government of the Bahamas did try to stop him, It was your hated FNM who had the courage to issue a cease and desist order and to demand that he remove his illegal construction.
3. Your PLP has had years to address this. Why is it not being done? Do you really think it has nothing to do with bribes?

Get a life.

Tarzan says...

It is always the same pat answer from this government. Never address an issue regardless how urgent or important it may be. Always deflect, and the first resort is "They did it too." As if that were any kind of explanation for government's total failure to govern. "Save the Bays is attempting to destabilize this government." Really? What more could any organization do that the current Administration is not doing more and better in that pursuit?

Tarzan says...

Surprise! Government owned means politically run. That is axiomatic. Any enterprise that you wish to be operated: not to make a profit, not to deliver a critical service, not to benefit its owners and employees, but rather to be a slush fund for handing out jobs to unqualified political "friends" and to provide "favorable deals" for political "friends", well just make such an enterprise "government owned" and you will get all your wishes. It has nothing to do with the political party. It has everything to do with politics.

Who ever would have thought? All Michael Misick had to do was to jail the investigators who exposed his serial frauds, over their failure to obtain a proper work permit. It is the perfect scam. You control the government. You steal the people's money. And, you deny anyone the necessary papers to conduct a proper investigation. Misick should be ashamed of himself for missing that one.

Tarzan says...

What kind of country lets contracts like this with no transparency and no accountability. Someone's "grandmother" owns the entity charged with managing a technically challenging facility; the cash is all delivered to the politically connected; and, NO ONE does anything when the facility poses serial public health challenges? One more matter for the P.M. to bloviate about in Parliament along with empty promises to table all documentation as soon as some foreign watchdog, hired by the thieves who set up the deal in the first place, delivers a report which NEVER shows up. When will this society realize that it is falling apart at the seams? It is hard to believe that even the thieves in charge don't realize that they are killing the goose that is laying, for them at least, the golden eggs.
