Royal Commission of Inquiry- Good idea Tal. Don't hold your breath. Why do you think this government refused to let Baha Mar go to Chapter 11, Work Out, versus liquidation nightmare? Bankruptcy Trustee would have operated like a commission of inquiry and all the nasty little insider deals would have been spread out for the Bahamian public to see.

Tarzan says...

Tal you are beyond belief. What has Save the Bays done to offend you? Do you think it's right for foreigners like Peter Nygard to bribe their way into ruination of the environment and the coopting of legitimate government authority? There is not one speck of evidence backing up the irresponsible allegations about Save the Bays engaging in political acts or trying to destabilize the current P.M.. Are you seriously telling me that all Bahamians should not admire a man like Joe Darville who has given his life to education and to bettering his homeland? Get a life outside blind pandering to the worst elements of the PLP.

Tarzan says...

Gee Fred, is this government incapable of passing a simple, straight forward law?

What is so difficult about this?

Oh, is it that we don't want to cut off our illicit funding? Oh, is it that there is no real campaign finance millions for the opposition coming from legitimate environmental groups who only want to preserve this wonderful land?

"Say it ain't so Joe." We are not all morons.

Tarzan says...

Hilarious. These guys think the entire population are idiots! Now they have permission from the Chinese to hold a convention at the golf course and convention facility that was completed nearly a year ago? Wow, that is really saying something. The entire resort could be open and running; all the Bahamian contractors could have been paid for work already done; the last $300,000,000. could have been paid to Bahamian contractors for completing the construction. Why not? Please answer, Mr. Government, why not? Because your pals were up to their hip boots in corruption with the Chinese? Is that the answer? Please tell us.

Tarzan says...

This whole spectacle of the government of a sovereign nation making claims that a small, environmental protection organization is trying to "bring it down" is so pathetic, that any Bahamian must be hiding his or her head in shame this evening. This is the classic example of denial by changing the subject. "Sweet heart, who are you going to believe? Me, or your lying eyes?"

How about this: P.M. of the Bahamas: "Let's settle this. Mr. Nygard will never get a grant of crown land, on the ocean floor next to his property, so long as a PLP government is in office." How hard is that to say? Come on P.M.! Have you got lock jaw????

Tarzan says...

If you consider the illegal appropriation of three acres of public seabed a "private matter" then I guess it's private. Nygard is the miscreant here, along with the PLP politicians who have enabled him all these years.

Total B.S. Bacon has been a friend to the Bahamas and to many, many charitable concerns in the Bahamas. Bacon has not despoiled two acres of reefs and seabed to illegally enhance his estate. Now the truth is out. The years of lies about "natural accretion are exposed. Nygard had a "deal" with the PLP for a lease of the land he illegally ruined on the seabed. Call everyone else a bad guy if you want. We all know who the bad guys are.

This would be hilarious if it were not so sad. Nothing in the affidavits filed in court accuses the P.M. of anything. It is Nygard's recorded video where he makes statements about paying off the P.M. and the PLP with $5 million. Standard PLP tactics. Run a smear on the other guy as if whatever the "other guy" has done justifies the sale of their political obligations. It is Nygard who accuses the PLP and the P.M. Maybe the police should be questioning him.

The last resort. Caught on video. Affidavits filed in court. Video of Keod smashing the window of Fred Smith's car. So what can the thugs say? Oh, how about calling the victims "Uncle Toms". Let's reach for some racism charge. When you have no evidence, no reasoning, no substance, you can always scream "racist" and that gives your argument ethical standing.

Tarzan says...

No police charges? Because the police don't dare enforce the law when it comes to certain very powerful politicians. Come on Tal, wake up.
