It pains me greatly to give kudos to Q.C. Smith, whose guts i truly hate, for writing such a well thought out and comprehensive article. He has made several excellent points.
However, i must also agree with several of my fellow commentators that at this point in time - by vast majority - we lack both the will and the brainpower to pump the seawater out of this Titanic we call the Bahamas. There is a giant iceberg to the south of us and we are headed in that direction full steam ahead. One of the technicians in the engine room is the good Q.C. himself.
On top of that, our government is currently in the process of selling us to the merchant ships of the WTO (literally). I don't think the majority are truly aware that slavery is set to return to these shores in full swing in December of next year. The WTO whips and chains are on their way. Once that metal shackle goes around your ankle, it don't come off easily. The WTO is banking on the immense ignorance of the Bahamian people to sit around like dimwits playing dominos and drinking beer while they take over. I believe they are making a wise bet, because here ignorance abounds and people who get vex can only think to march up and down the streets in the hot sun while their leaders sit in air conditioned offices laughing at them.
If the people of the Bahamas really want to heist themselves up out of the abyss and have a prayer to make something of our pathetic lives, we would get together a petition of 70% of adults and send it to the U.S. State Department and plead with them to take us over and make us the 51st state, just like they did with Hawaii in 1898.
Trust me though, no such petition will emerge. Bahamians have been sold totally on the idea of "Independence" at the same time as the Queen holds "our" land as "Crown Land" and we import 90% of everything we eat or use from that same United States.
Ten years from now we will still be banging our wheels in potholes and flapping our lips complaining.
Licks2...can you grant me a visa to come live in the wonderful world you have inside your head? It sounds like a dreamy and tranquil place. Im ready to pack my bags.
Any union member who wants to leave should be paid double what the law requires IF they sign an agreement never ever to work for that hotel again no matter who owns it for 50 years.
Im certain an inquiry would reveal 90% are of Haitian heritage. Their plot to take over is very well thought out. The police force, immigration, everywhere. Don't let the name tags fool you.

Very true. Note though that we already have a Haitian MP in the body of our Minister of Sloop Transport.
Agree with that it takes time. I predict a Haitian PM by election after next and no less that 5 Haitian MPs in the next government.
Some people wonder why this should even be a concern, and would say that people like me who even "study" it must be racist.
Trust me, if Bahamians were in Haiti doing the same - all Hell would break loose. Every tire on the island would be ablaze.
But Bahamians? They say "Everything cool." and "Thank God for life."

This is incorrect. Depends which foreigners you talking about.
The scheme here is to encourage people from Canada etc. to give up their land and devalue property in general to make more space open for Haitians.
More are coming every day - more than people think - some by exodus, some by uterus, but all to take over us.
