Trams don't cost millions of dollars. Get them now. Let's see them moving people back and forth first, then we can think about if our britches are big enough to play in the big boy sandbox.

We really really need to outlaw the use of the words "million" and "billion" in this country.

Trams!!!!!! Does anyone have enough sense and wherewithal to get some damn trams out on the docks by the end of the month? No. Not in this banana republic. We need millions so pockets can get greased before the tram-wheels get greased.

Sounds like Russian collusion to me. As we all know such investigations are never-ending because they are not investigations but simply acts of character defamation.

How can you besmirch someone's reputation for a full five years without filing a single criminal charge with the police or the Courts? One? Bueller? Bueller? Anybody?

These are the most trouble-prone air conditioners in the world.

Can Govt or someone PLEASE post here the name brand/s of these units so we can all avoid buying them.

No. Of course not. Bahamians as always will be left in ignorance.

Once again i say "Bogart for next PM!!!!!!!!!"

Thank God this government is cutting costs. Hopefully they will also stop all the senseless borrowing.

"...construction delays due to non-payment of the contractor, Woslee Construction, plus structural engineers and other professionals, had added some $1.711m to the cost."

That's a HELL of a lot of interest. I don't think even #¥×₩&^$% Bank charges that much. Wonder if that exceeds the maximum interest of 20% allowed by Law? Probably. The banks get away with exceeding that limit (via added "fees"), so i guess others can play too. Besides, Bahamians love paying taxes anyway.

$10,000 ÷ 52weeks = $192.31/week. So a Bahamian would have to be willing to work for less to be competitive.

The transport is free on their own planes and ships coming here for business. The accomodation is free because they own the Hilton next door. The food is ... well we're back to the 2 bowls of rice again.

Hopefully people like you will wake up before we're all sucking a donkey's ass and saying we're grateful for the chocolate milk.

TheMadHatter says...

OldFort - the only way you can compete with a man who eats only 2 bowls of rice a day is for you to only eat 1 bowl a day.

Do you want to live in only 1 bowl of rice a day?

Why do we allow animals to come here and steal our humanity and dignity. I wonder if anyone considers that someday someone may become truly upset over this?

TheMadHatter says...

Two meanings? The true meaning is that if you are a Bahamian today and want your future children to have jobs when they grow up, you better marry a Haitian or Chinese.

Otherwise ya chirren gah be beggin on da corner wit cream can.

TheMadHatter says...

Wilson is forgetting the rich foreign owners of the hotels and their need for room maids. You can't have all Bahamians getting a good education, or else where would the replacement maids come from. I'm sure the Ministry knows this, and factors it into their teacher placement and school repair algorithms.

Sounds good. However, too bad us ordinary yard niggers are not privy to actual figures of Treasury income and expenses so we can see the room tax increases. We only get to see a fake imaginary "budget".
