HumanIntelligence and John - as usual on the opposite side of the tennis court from Bahamians. Why do you want to destroy the Bahamas?

"...or the minister would remove it and recover the expenses incurred from him, in accordance with the Building Regulations Act."

The government should threaten to repeal completely the Building Regulations Act, if they lose this case or if the shanty towns remain.

If we can't get rid of Haitians then we should at least have the same advantages they have in our own country. Repeal the Act!!!!!!

This article is so much related to the declining grades on national exams article, also published today.

Keep having babies and hiring foreign gardeners and construction workers. Let's see how much more of our country we can lose.

Joeblow is 100% correct.

I would add, students today know that all of these exams are a waste of time. There are no jobs worth having anyway. No skills are needed or useable in this country except to be a worker in the only factory we have here: The Baby Making Factory. They also know the classroom grades are on a statistical curve which forces the average to a D, so that the system itself is against them. Also they are to some degree aware that the entire country is being overtaken by Haitians and Chinese, and so their future as a Bahamian is to sit small and shut up.
Play games? Watch music videos? Joke around? Why not? You will achieve the same result in life as the fool who wastes his/her time studying.
Kids are smart enough to know this - and that makes them all 'A' students in my book.

John.Doe - i did not read the comment - so i don't know which bank he meant BUT there is a certain bank which is generally known as a "predatory lender."

Everyone knows about them because everyone knows someone friend or family who has been scr3₩ed by this bank. Yet all those Bahamians who know still maintain accounts at this bank thereby holding them up in their endeavors.

Bahamians eat their own and deserve to be taken over by foreigners. No patriotism.

Government should threaten to return VAT back to breadbasket items since poor people have money to waste on numbers, and threaten to raise VAT to 13% - both moves to compensate for the lost number house tax revenue.

No we don't. We don't need those Arab terrorists coming over here. That's all they have in Britain nowadays.

Fear not. Trump & Bannon are breaking up the EU. Britain, Italy, Pohland and soon to follow France, Germany, Romania, Czech, and Sweden. All helped along by the Pres of Hungary.

EU elections coming in May and it's gonna be a doozie.

These little regulations will all be irrelevant.

Ordinary Bahamians will NOT be allowed to invest. We never are allowed. New businesses are not allowed to be traded on the bahamas exchange either due to risk.

This is because the Govt feels they need to protect D-Average Bahamians from ignorant investments and words with four or more syllables.

Someday we will grow up.
