2nd step - family planning for ALL. It makes no sense for Government to make great efforts to clear the pathway to allow companies to create another, say, 7000 jobs to employ the unemployed - if people just turn around and make another 14,000 people - 7000 to take the new jobs when those persons retire/die - and another 7000 to continue to be unemployed. SO you are probably right about the 1st step - and that's my opinion of the 2nd step.

If that is so then why doesnt the Chamber or Min of Fin say so? List that along with the other benefits we would receive. Why the secrecy? Bahamians are only hearing on the street "foreigners coming to put me out of business". At the same time Govt got shut-mout-itis....so only rumours are allowed to spread.

Doesn't make sense to return to British Rule - because Britain is now ruled by Muslims. If Trump gets ousted, then even USA will become ruled by Muslims (it's almost there now actually) - so my plan would be useless as well.
Mr. Ferguson - the only playing card you have up your sleeve is to put the weight of the unions behind one of the global population control movements. This will scare the H*** out of the churches and cause them to push Govt to give you some support. Explain that unless you can be a force for obtaining good, honest, respectable jobs for the Bahamian people, then you must word toward reducing the number of people available to work. A lack of supply will cause an increase in price (wages) and in that way achieve your goal. They will be terrified of your wisdom and come running to the negotiating table.
It is time for the Bahamas to petition the USA to make us the 51st State. Puerto Rico and St. Thomas have both been offered the opportunity numerous times - and both have refused. Let their loss be our gain.
Of course, this idea will be opposed by those who believe we are "independent", and they will tell you this while they are holding a Big Mac in one hand and a Coca Cola in the other hand.
