Ive always said let's trade countries. Bring ALL Haitians to the Bahamas in exchange for them giving us their country. ALL Haitians must leave Haiti and all Bahamians go there.
It would be a great deal for Bahamians. Would save us a ton of money on repetitive govt offices on every island, shipping and travel costs and provide us with lots of farmland.
Let's do it. In less than 5 years Haiti would be one of the jewels of the Caribbean and our immigration officers would spend their time deporting "Bahamians" and D.R. people.
Why does GB Power have a monopoly on power supply in Grand Bahama? Why not have a variety of companies providing electricity supply like we have in Nassau?
Banker.....you keep showing your intellect and talking too much sense like that and you run the risk of getting your passport and birth cert revoked and your a** shipped out. LOL
Minnis is trying to repeal the laws that forbid Bahamian success and he is catching a lot of flack from the Domino Players Guild.
Porcupine...the solution to Haiti's problems is simple. It is called family planning in haiti and for those who live abroad.
Nearly 11 million people in Haiti.
907 people per square mile.
Only 85 per square mile in the Bahamas.
That's nearly 11 times. Could u imagine the Bahamas population being 11 times more dense?
You would always "get the middle seat" on the bus, plus all sorts of other way more serious probems would occur.
But that is where we are headed and the silly thing is that in just a short 10 years from now, Haitians here are going to wonder why their parents ever came and borned them in this Hell hole which will at that time be even worse than Haiti. Many will willingly return "home".
Until their unbridled breeding is addressed, it doesn't matter where they live. You can send them even to Australia, but all you would do is confuse and bewilder the kangaroos who would wonder how they breed so quickly without baby pouches.
Once elected to Parliament you have no requirements except to start working on the list of lies you plan to tell during the next election cycle. If they sound good and juicy, the people will put you back in office.
That's how it works, if you want to hear the truth. If you want to hear some lies i can quote you some laws and regulations.
If you try to send $7,300 to pay a term tuition for your kid in college you need a doctor note attesting your grandmother shoe size, but $73M? No problem.
You wait and see the incredible dollar figure they come up with to fix the harbour breakwater next month. Rest assured not a dollar out of those millions will be accounted for (at least not to us mere taxpayers).

So, obviously the Fox Hill prisoners are once again left to suffer in the dark.
Finally, i'm not so sure the term "shortcomings" should be used in this arena.
