Why people like Robert Myers, Graham Weatherford, and others i could name - but won't - are not sitting at the table at every Cabinet meeting, i have no idea.
Or at least have a monthly conference at BCPOU Hall and let's all benefit from collective wisdom.
Do they even have their secretaries reading these posts and providing them a daily synopsis of our comments on here?
Do they realize that we here are the political activists that know everybody and follow everything and have our ears to the ground?
Why do politicians become tone deaf after election?
We need to have election every three years. Let's have a referendum on that.
Article says : He said the party’s convention last month was “the beginning of the resurgence of the PLP” and he will be ready to govern “from day one”.
Really? Wasn't their last slogan in 2012 - ready from day one? Then they were still making plans from january 2016 like they just came in office?
How can they be ready? he needs to ask why the FNM now couldn't be ready on day one - which they were not. The answer is because shadow ministers have no authority to view the books, view the accounts, agreements, treaties, etc that the sitting government does. So when they take office they have to try and find where all the skeletons are hidden in which closets.
If he really wants do something useful besides just warm the bottom of a chair, he can propose an change in Law allowing shadow ministers to have such authorities. THEN his people can find out what they need to and keep abreast of what is really going on with Minnis them and be ready to govern on day one.
However, it will likely be a waste of time. The DNA will be the next government of this country, and much much much sooner than 2022. The people are tired.
Fred Mitchel was talking this same foolishness while he was foreign minister - yet NOBODY - including this new Govt has explained to us what all the fuss is about.
Why should we join?
Just like discussing MP salary raises while we are broke as a nation - why are we suddenly bringing up the issue of WTO membership? What's the rush? What's the big deal? What the heck to we export except a few crawfish and give away some salt?
I mean, I know about the oil that we "export" (tiefed) - but that isn't really "trade" is it. It's just outright tiefing - so that don't count.
One of these clowns ought to explain a few good reasons why we should waste any ink on any paper joining the WTO.
So in plain speaking terms, it's time now for all Bahamians to buy tents and move out of their houses into the bush...and give ya house to the Haitians and Jamaicans dem.
Why?
Because they came here and had a whole bunch of children out of wedlock - and their decision historically to do that has now presently become our problem.
Just fire all the immigration from the airports and harbours and let them all come in. Why even bother trying to succeed as a Bahamian anymore? Ya country gone. Killed by a blood red political party.

Fewer thieves and more lingerie sounds good to me. I must give PM Minnis credit for this one.
Keep finding the people's money. Great work.

Banks. That's another subject for sure. We need a Bankruptcy Act. That's the only thing that will stop those loan sharks from enslaving Bahamians.
