This is great news. As the Minister said, the Bahamas has 700 islands and only 2 were damaged. We usually only have good tourism numbers in about 10 islands. So imaging now then those other 690 islands come online? Awesome.
Instead of just $10 million dollars, say, we will not be getting $690 million dollars.
God said he shall not be mocked (but some don't hear). Man making God's plants illegal. Wow. Hemlock is illegal in the USA. Craziness. When they get to Heaven God will say "Lucy, you got some splainnin to do !!!"
Vendors need to learn - if the current government does not have at least 3 years left in office - then don't even waste your time (or at least get a "if stopped reviewed and canceled then it don't affect my pay" clause added in the contract).
If election is on the horizon - nothing can be guaranteed.
Yes it will be reversed in 2022. That is a certainty. However the flow of Haitians will not be affected either way. Both Parties have ignored the problem ... big time.
"Mr. Handfield said he and Mr Burrows put up a “brief struggle” with their assailants, who were brandishing machetes, but said they were quickly overpowered as they were outnumbered, and unarmed. As a result, he said, he and Mr Burrows jumped into the water to avoid being injured."
And as soon as they become a 2 to 1 majority this will be the fate of all Bahamians. This is just a preview of the upcoming movie. Coming soon the a country near you.
Save your money. Take an online course from Canada. Then go do your final 6 months training in Canada. Then live and work in Canada. Leave the Bahaiti behind. Instead of the Govt owning up to their mistake and offering you tuition to become a pharmacist - ie. helping you - NO. They just say you have to sit an exam and they let the courts deal with you. This is what happens to Bahamians who try to get ahead in the Bahamas. They earn a degree in Time Wasting.
It's not lack of education - it's our concern as Bahamians for lack of land for our children to build homes. You guys are turning all of our vacant land into shanty towns for Haitians. Would you support a Treaty between the Bahamas and Haiti that states that for every acre of land occupied by Haitians in the Bahamas, that Bahamians are entitled to that same amount of acreage in Haiti?
