Abaconian - I disagree with the "shows now sign of being a place.." Many Bahamians would love to live in South Eleuthera, or Crooked Island, etc. - BUT cannot afford the land which is currently owned by Her Majesty "The Crown". It's her land. We are independent without land. The Government cannot grant us all tracts of this land because they are not allowed to. That is part of the reason why Cabinet discussions are forbidden to be discussed outside of Cabinet. Every incoming member is told about the secret deal made with England to preserve the Crown's ownership of the British Empire. Our Independence is fake, and is only a way of forcing us to pay taxes to the Crown for our own very day to day survival, Slavery is alive and well.
Wait five years and re-elect the PLP - then get sick of them and re-elect the FNM again in 2027. That is the extent of our creativity to solve problems as a people.
At the same time, make sure the delivery room at PMH is running full speed 24/7. Drive up them apartment rent prices.
Bahamians (most) also don't understand that the very downfall of Freeport over the last 20 years has been a HUGE factor in the need to have VAT. The money that Freeport (yeah, dem so much white people) used to put into the Treasury - just hasn't been happening, and the Treasury needs money to give free medication and schooling to foreigners, so that's (partly) why we have VAT.
If Freeport can get up and running again, perhaps VAT could be reduced to 5% by end of 2018.
This is a procedure that Bahamians learned from their former slave masters. Old habits die hard. Black people must be put in shackles - it's just a rule even black people can't break.
Bahamians are to blame for having children that they cannot afford to raise. Then they cry out jobs!!! jobs!!! jobs!!! - so of course the politicians have to sell them like slaves to the merchant ships to have money to provide services and to provide jobs so yinna can feed ya chirrens. And ya know, beggars can't be choosers, so most of them jobs suck like a brand new vacuum cleaner.
Very excellent points. I do believe that Trump will bring an end to Chinese expansion in the world. Desperately needed. The Chinese place no value on human life.
Sell ya boongie and ya birthright to pay ya debt (in other words). Keep on doing it without a condom and this what ya dis get. Babies ain't cheap, and the food they eat comes from foreign (so we owe debt to foreign - real simple).

It's not a ten year problem, it's a nine month problem. Belly-swell-itis is the first disease Dr. Minnis needs to cure in the Bahamas.
However, since we as a society just love wife-raping, incest, and young prostitutes on the streets - that is a hard pill to swallow.
We are doomed.
