If Bahamians were wise, they would use a machete to trim bushes, grasses, and trees around their neighborhood - for various homes and businesses.

This is a very low turnover, and low expense business - no gas cost or tax for lawnmower (don't use one). Keep you total intake below $40,000 per year - and put your kids in public schools so that the government pays that bill.

If we all choose to live like uncivilized animals - it will cut our expenses down, and virtually eliminate taxes altogether.

Wake up people. Modern amenities are simply NOT suitable for Bahamians.

We can only hope that the people elect a party that has never before been in power. A new path, or an old one. Our choice. Minnis just this week promised fiscal transparency - but there were no details. Of course there weren't.

The solution to this is simple. Businesses should simply watch their gross sales (turnover, whatever) and as the year goes along simply continue to increase prices (except for any price control items) accordingly in order to discourage customers from buying things.

As prices get higher, less sales will occur. Sure, the one that do occur will bring in more revenue due to the higher price - but by making prices higher and higher - trust me - people will stop buying. A gas station that sells a 12oz can of soda for, say, $3.75 instead of the standard $1.00 will see a marked decrease in can soda sales.

Using this method, total revenue can be kept below $100,000.

Sure, unemployment will increase - but we all know that is going to happen anyhow. It's just easier to suffer and have bad economy naturally without having all the additional paperwork and stress.

I pray you are right. Hopefully we will get a whole new crew this time -and I don't mean a new old crew that were there before. Both the PLP and FNM are great and have done good things for our country. I don't hate either of them. It is simply the fact that they have been in power too long and just naturally have lost touch with the plight of the common man. The concept is simply too far removed from them.

In addition, everyone knows that in order to combat crime we need to stop popping out puppies every 9 months, esp. by women under then age of 21 - and in order to do that you need the help of the church leaders - and there is no way they are going to allow sexual education in the schools or access to proper methods of birth control.

No politician will go against them (wisely so), and the people themselves will not stop giving them money every Sunday morning. So, in effect, the politicians are simply give the people exactly what they are asking for.

If Government creates 5000 new jobs, but teenagers create 8000 new people - then you have simply added 3000 new unemployed persons to our country. (Yes, I know they need to grow to be 18, but this has been going on for more than 18 years and so we are reaping the results of those who did this 18 years ago).

Fried chicken and beer during election week - works every time. 2017 will be no exception. The same faces you've seen in Parliament the last 4 years, along with a host of those that were there the five years prior to that - will be right back in the seat again - just a few swaps here and there to give the illusion of democracy.

I share your emotions on this - but only 8% of voters voted for someone other than FNM & PLP during the last election. I doubt that percentage will increase much this time.

People like to complain - but the truth is that they do not mind living in poverty and giving their children poor educations and for them to grow up and have sorrowful jobs just like they do - so long as they are allowed to vote the same way that their grandparents did.

One guy I spoke to on the street a few months back told me that his father and his grandfather were both (party name), and he does not plan to change. In addition, he told me that he believes it doesn't matter who is in the House - that nothing will improve. With that attitude I don't know why he bothers to ink his finger.

The Auditor General is making a mountain out of a molehill and complaining without sufficient reason. He can simply issue a monthly report at the end of each month. I will do the one for him for January 2016, and he can copy the format for the remaining months of the year. I do this pro-bono.

I find it curious that the article does not say WHAT the choir was doing there in the first place. Were they performing at a resort function? Was it a Christmas Play?

This fact was left out. This leads me to wonder whether the choir felt that just because they were a religious group, that gave them the right to enter onto the resort property and just wander around the parking lot and into the lobby singing and doing whatever they please.

Of course, that may not have been what happened - but you have to wonder when the facts are left out of the report.

1. Have a same-day referendum (that day) for Bahamians to agree (or disagree) to remove the numbers on ballots during elections. If they agree then DO IT, without regard to the Privy Council which currently has this matter (languishing) before them. That is, inform the Parliamentary Registrar that he shall effect these changes in time for the next election or next referendum. This will allow black people to finally be allowed to vote freely in the Bahamas without repercussions from the white business community by way or losing their jobs.

2. Order the Director of Prisons to cause to be published on ZNS television every Monday night at 7:30pm. the list of all persons held in prison (even if on remand), the charge (or judgement) against them, what day they were admitted, what section they are in, and they expected date of release - including any that were put in remand and released during the previous 6 days.

3. Come on ZNS television live and explain to the public how exactly the Public Service Commission and the Dept of Public Service work together to keep public servants (government employees) down by withholding their letters of appointment, letters of promotion, and all recognition they deserve which leads to lower wages and morale for them and results in very poor public service and a bad rep on govt workers. Give the names of all those persons running those places and ask the people to text messages into a certain cell number with their advice on whether they should be fired, jailed or both as traitors to our nation.

4. Order Ministry or Works and/or the Christian Council to get no less than 500 persons down to Bay Street the next day with bags, shovels, paintbrushes and whatever needed to clean up right away.

If I could get those 4 under way, I would take a break and have a Big Mac and then plan my strategy for the afternoon.

At 5pm I would clean off my desk and chair and make it ready for the previous occupant to return and sit comfortably.

It has an unemployment problem.

It doesn't matter what the BCC does. They keep sexual education from our youth in the schools and breed (pun intended) ignorance and the resulting crime that follows.

However, it doesn't matter. Bahamians REFUSE to stop putting money in their Sunday tithes plates. I've never understood anyone paying for a service that ruins their lives - but hey, maybe I'm just stupid. Maybe the world really is a big bed of roses.
