Wrong. Whoever ordered the police to not let an MP out of their car would be responsible. The kids would receive a valuable lesson that day, that they live in a dictatorship where their MP is a prisoner in her own vehicle, and duct tape continues to be applied to her mouth. I don't mean make a violent scent - just proceed calmly toward the podium whenever she is not being held back.

She needs to get more serious. She should have gotten out of the car anyhow, and let the police arrest her. Carry on and just walk toward the stage, and make every effort to do what she came to do. Let them take her away in handcuffs for trying to receive hurricane supplies for her constituents.

That's what she should have done in the House the other week too. Just talk what she was gonna talk until the House police take her away.

Instead of investing 2 billion and having to deal with all the numerous problems and then ending up losing their investment and wishing they never came, why don't we give them a discount of 50%????????

They can just send 1 billion cash, and stay out - stay wherever they are and forget about the whole thing. That way we will get money that we need, and they will only lose 1 billion instead of 2 billion. They can consider that a savings.

Bahamians cannot wait until 2017 to put back into the power the same people that they very recently kicked out. Rollins and them know that, and that is why they jumped on board.

We just love the way things are. We love it all to suck. Guess the church teaching of "turn the other cheek" to us simply means let the PLP slap you on one cheek, then turn your head so the FNM can slap the other cheek.

I applaud this young lady for offering her help to our country - but unfortunately it does not want help. If she came and solved 90% of our problems, then we would have nothing to talk about while we slapping dominoes.

Since it is impossible to put a government worker or minister in jail or to penalize them in any way - then I suppose - yes - this idea where the innocent suffer on behalf of the guilty would be the only solution.

Just like how all of us have to jump through hoops to prevent so-called money launderers (whom you never see arrested or brought before the courts) - we suffer for people who don't even exist.

This happens because all job description in government include the words "and other assigned duties." In other words, nobody has any particular responsibilities, and even those who do are not allowed to carry out their assigned duties because their supervisors always have the power to ASSIGN them to do whatever they tell them to do, because they are the boss.

While people are doing "whatever" the boss tells them to do at any particular moment of the day - they are not doing their actual job.

Now everyone wants to complain and say why wasn't that person (or persons) doing their job? I am telling you why. They were too busy doing what they were told.

People in the Bahamas (public & private) don't have jobs. They are just slaves who obey.
