If he wanted transparency, he should ask the former PM - his buddy - why he didn't increase the powers of shadow ministers while he was in power.
The shadow minister of Finance (for example) cannot go into the Ministry of Finance and obtain the figure for the amount of money spent one - for example - police vehicle maintenance in 2014 - nor any other figure for any other thing.
Shadow ministers have no power to obtain any information from govt other than you and i can. The only way they get info is from insiders loyal to the party - and that is not easy either unless it is in a printed file - because access to all files in computers (likely) are noted who accessed which record and what date & time they did so - at least I assume so.
If the FNM won power next week - trust me - he would not change a thing - and his speaker of the house would prevent opposition members from speaking just like Loretta prevented last week - and he didn't even speak out against that.
He will just be our 4th dictator since "independence".
Loretta should not waste her time with this - she should concentrate on the destruction in Long Island. Can't she get international news agencies to fly a helicopter there with a camera?
Also - why is she blaming only the PLP - when her own party refused to support her the other day when she was not allowed to speak in the House.
I like her - she is a firebrand, and I believe a loyal Bahamian - but she should have attended this most recent meeting of the House with a large piece of duct tape across her mouth - and when the Speaker asked her to remove it, should have refused to the point of being barred from the House for 30 days and removed by the House Sargeant at Arms (or whatever we call them here).
Yes I understand that's what you mean. But what I mean is that the older leaders of the parties only put these young people in there to fool the public. If any of the young ones try to open their mouths or make any changes to the way things are - they are ridiculed, banished, called stupid, and cast out.

In fact, I have recently learned that this is the real reason why BahMar has failed - the investors discovered (through requests on their reservation system online) that foreign tourists are actually preferring to make reservations at HMP and Carmichael. They say the cost is a LOT less, the food and comforts are better - and the customer service is outstanding.
I don't know what this Jamaican complaining about. He was basically given a FREE 9-year hotel reservation and he didn't even have to go before the courts for any trial. Who needs trials anyway? All that "justice" stuff is for the birds. If you are accused then you must be guilty. That's how we go.

Where is the Govt 100% scholarship plan/fund for Bahamian high school graduate scholars to attend schools abroad and become certified pharmacists? Or are we planning to raise the flag of the Philippines in Rawson Square?
If it wasn't Chinese it would be Haitians - ........... Bahamians would still not have jobs.
Serves Bahamians right though - after how we've been treated the last 40 years - Bahamians could not see fit to give the DNA even one seat in Parliament. They like things to stay the same as always. They get what they ask for.
