If these employees are upset with Melia, why don't they just apply for a job at BahaMar ?
Are there any other hotels open and functioning in the Bahamas that we can close down? Why not close them all?
I mean if ya gonna be stupid - be stupid all the way. Why not send the police to round-up all of the white foreign hotel managers and owners and put 'em on a plane tomorrow morning? Hey don't stop at hotels - shut down all white owned businesses foreign and Bahamian. Yeah - that's a genius idea.
Close down the airports too. That will ensure that we don't even have to deal with tourists. Kick 'em all out - LOL.
Why doesn't the Govt just come right out and say "If you are white, have money, and want to invest here - don't do it!!!! We don't want white people's money."
If the Govt would just SHUT UP and stay their hip in Nassau, and collect the cheques submitted to the Treasury by the Port Authority and the many businesses and others in Freeport, and use that money to better develop the rest of the Bahamas - then all will be well.
Instead - they appear to be hell bent on killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Freeport hasn't laid many golden eggs since 1973 - when the Bahamas became "independent" and the move was on to "one day" kill dead the International Bazaar. At this moment there are only about 4 stores left of what was once over 100.
Why would anyone kill 96 businesses? And that's just at the Bazaar.
Anyway - it is the choice of Govt whether or not they want money to go into the Treasury. A simply choice - yes or no.

Tal you still worried about the man dock while people are out of work and can't pay their light bill and rent? I'd like to tell you what I'd like to do to you with that long dock and it has something to do with the word you placed right after "long".
Why don't you concentrate on important things man? Don't you realize people are really hurting in this country and you talking foolishness about a dock? You trying to run for MP eh? Cause that's they kind of crap they get everybody worked-up about to vote for them, and then they go chill in their nice Cabinet seats while we all stand around wondering where the money ga come from when we reach the front of the line at the supermarket for the next five years. Damn. How many five year tricks can they play on ya'll ?
Government is obviously intent on killing the goose that lays the golden egg. Since that sounds like a very very stupid thing for anybody to do - I guess that explains why the Government would choose to do it.
I always say, that if you want to predict reliably what Government will do in any situation - just set your mind to work and think of what would be the stupidest thing to do in that situation - and there you will have your answer.
