Above, you say you want it to succeed. Now here you are saying (in an indirect way) that you hope it would rain the whole week (using the word "interesting" to cover your true intent).

Above you also make comment about a resident of Lyford Cay that we all know is alleged to have wild parties at his home.

While I can stretch my mind to understand someone's concern with some scantily clothed people at a Carnival celebration in public on Bay Street (even though they are home in their own bed in Carmichael Road), it is not possible for me to stretch it far enough to understand yours (and others') concern with private parties taking place at a private residence in a private gated community. Those parties may as well be in Australia as far as 99.8% of Bahamians are concerned, because they are nowhere near the place.

Christians seems to have a VERY big problem with the human body, its design and function, any thought of physical pleasure, and the activities of people that have nothing to do with them. It is almost an Islamic point of view, except that I must give the Muslims credit for far exceeding your collective insantity levels.

Like I said above, God is the creator of the human body. He is the manufacturer. Blame him for inventing the genitals. Blame him for inventing the orgasm. What must he have been thinking? Pleasure and enjoyment for his creatures? God forbid :-)

I sometimes think Christians would have been happier if God had only created Hell (which I do not believe there is any such thing) - and just put us all in Hell in the first place and let us suffer for eternity. I think you guys would be much happier suffering all the time, because it seems to be your true hidden goal.

Now you wish failure on our little Bahamas too. Failure is an easy thing to achieve, and we have been doing it quite well for nearly 42 years now. Success is hard to achieve.

However, you keep striving for failure - and I will bet that you will be "successful" in achieving it.

Yes, it is a shame that more than half of Bahamians will focus on what MItchel might do in the privacy of his own home, and then go ahead and vote for someone else, and then continue to complain about the price of bread, the cost of education, the potholes in the roads, the immigrants, the fights in schools, etc. etc.

After the next election ...

Shouldn't they then say "Hey, yes my life sucks and times are tough and I can't afford nothin' - but at least I am happy because I don't have to worry about what might be going on in the Prime MInister's residence while I'm sleeping at night."

But, no, they will still complain and keep putting money in the plate.

The article says in part "...and said he had “no appetite” for the festival’s sexually charged nature"

Why don't all of these super-Christian types get together and file a class-action lawsuit against God for creating genitals and sex in the first place? I mean, attack crime at the root.

She should have cited Mr. Armbrister for false representation (since he was not the respondent of record) and sentenced him to 21 days in jail. I understand he is not at fault for anything. She could have ordered/requested the prison to place him in safe conditions.

That might have gotten the attention of the AG's office, not to do that again.

But, as it is, doing nothing - I am sure she can look forward to a 2015 that will very much resemble 2014.

The next time the AGs office considers sending anybody they feel like, they'll just do so, saying to themselves "why not?"

On Call to bring immigration legislation

I wonder if the new rules and the new fees will be posted on the immigration website? I have been asking for that for years. No matter what they are, they should be posted - otherwise we will continue in the mode where it depends on who you talk to "at the window" as to what you need for your application. I always tell people, whenever you are applying for something from Govt get the name of the person who you deal with the first day. Every time you come back see that same person. If he/she is out to lunch or off that day, best you come back tomorrow because otherwise you will have to start your whole process over again from the beginning. Even if you've been at it for 7 months. Ya gats to start from the beginning because now you are being told of some other thing you need, that likely takes quite a while to get.

If Muscrove and them lose on appeal in the next few days/weeks - they (the executive committee) should have the commons sense to resign.

Leave it up to the next AGM to see if anything has been stolen, and to the member to see if they get their benefits. If not, then they will know that the Exec Committee was right.

But let time teach people the truth.

But, child, don't even mention buidling a new church. Bahamians will jump up like they gone drink a case of Red Bull.

One person in the article says ... "There is a constitutional and cultural right that is systematically and diabolically being snaked away from us all"

Yes, when you use your "snake" without a condom - things like this happen.

When successive government have talked to the people about getting involved in manufacturing right here at home to create new businesses and reduce imports - they weren't talking about baby manufacturing.

But, alas, that is all we can seem to manufacture. So after buying baby food and other related things needed for that, Bahamians have no money left to put together in a group and buy or build a hotel.

They prefer to leave that to foreign landlords to come in and setup "modern" plantations so their babies can grow up and pick cotton on them. (cotton sheets that is).
