You think you taxi drivers could give us ONE parking space in front of the pharmacy on Bay Street so I can buy a soda or an aspirin or something when I am downtown? You have EVERY parking space marked TAXI. Really? What if I want to make an ATM withdrawal? No place to park even for 5 minutes. And we supposed to feel sorry for you? Your plight is a legitimate one, but please also consider the plight of ordinary citizen non-taxi drivers.
Bahamians keep voting FNM and PLP. They love ill-treatment. Absolutely love it. They vote for it, in fact. They mark their X and say please mistreat me. Please treat me worse than a potcake. So? They get what they asked for.
Bahamians are not concerned about this - concernedcitizen. You see them every year on July 10th out marching and dancing and celebrating "independence." What a joke. I have asked for a boycott of independence celebrations for four years in a row now - but they continue to celebrate. Well, then, let them celebrate. Let me be happy and jolly as they want to be. No power? No problem. Let's celebrate our independence. Yeah.
Im sure these workers have some legitimate issues - but instead of discussing them they choose to in effect say 1. We want 15% gratuity even if we suck ... and we dont want 20% or more gratuity if we excel. 2. We want all kinda vacation like as if we were government workers 3. We believe bonuses come from thin air and should not be related to a hotel's profits. We can ignore wastage cause it aint our problem 4. We want to spend ALL our money in December and start the new year broke cause we feel better when self loathing 5. Just give us turkey and ham ... it works like a baby pacifier and then we forget all our troubles
Sure prison is a criminal college - everyone knows and loves that fact. It makes life more exciting and Bahamians love being robbed and killed anyhow. We know prison doesnt reduce crime, but then we secretly dont truly want crime reduced so it suits us fine. In addition, they say, they learn to properly use their privates - and that's a good thing. Everyone knows when God said man shall not lie with man, he didn't really mean it. That's why he gave Noah the rainbow to start a new open society after the flood right? The Rainbow Coalition. Now that's powerful.
As i said on the prior article by Brent, Haitians are too expensive to keep and too expensive to get rid of. Besides, Bahamians marrying them up like butter cream - so game over.
If the Privy Council rules that Agreements are just mere contracts, will this man and the TUC and others have the guts to stage a ten day 100% national strike?
No. They will just suck teet, roll over and play dead like a good lap dog. So why bother? Just giving money to lawyers for nothing.
While i agree that the WTO sucks and it sucks even worse if entangled in the Bahamaa - i must say i do not recall hearing this opposition to WTO from the Potcake while his people were in power and talking the same fool just a couple short years ago.
