Correct. Constitution would need to change, yes - and we couldnt even get women in this country to vote for equal rights for women back in 2002. LOL. No hope.
Kishon, you are an anomaly here. Asking questions? Thinking? How dare you !!!! The Govt works very hard to ensure that Bahamians remain dumb and stupid with D+ averages. Obviously you managed to slip thru the cracks and somehow obtain an education and for some reason not carry that education away for use by Canada or USA.
Don't worry. Im sure they are redoubling their efforts and will ensure that fewer and fewer people like you are created. Intelligence is a threat to the system.
May God continue to guide you and protect you good sir.
Agree 100%. Let's not forget, however, what happened with the Big Red Boat in Freeport in the early 90s. This was a new cruise to the island bringing passengers directly to Port Lucaya. The taxi drivers got upset because it did not come into the harbour.
They did not realize they were not losing any business. The same cruise ships continued to come into the harbour. Maybe no taxi drivers had any family working at Port Lucaya or the hotels? Wonder if they now realize that their VAT they pay every day is allowing govt to buy the port lucaya hotel?
Hopefully Freeport people won't be selfish as they see the east end of the island start to bloom.
"...Asked again why BPL was footing the bill, he said: “There is a whole plan that BPL has that I’m sure the CEO and chairman would be happy to share all of the particulars with you, all of it.” "
That won't be necessary. We will get all the "details" we need in July when VAT goes to 15%.
McAlpine will win re-election under any or no banner. He is a champion of the people. The FNM is on course to lose the next election with their secret $95M generator deals and tons of other secrecy.
Those supporting the FNM on here are only holding on to see what they can personallt get in the next couple years - but they know they voting thumb did already get burn from da torch.
Yep. That's how yall think until time for election then everyone gah be crying about how we need to get rid of this FNM govt at all costs even if it means putting the PLP back in. It will be 2017 in reverse.

Anybody can get land in this Bahamas except Bahamians. What did we have independence for? The Crown and Haitians get the land.

What they do with YOUR money
Is THEIR business
