As Long as Party Politics rule over good Governance nothing will change, we will keep fools in office.
There are too few exceptions.

Once politicized Alt Energy will suffer, in this case before it even began.
All due to ignorance and the self preservation of BEC/special fuel interests/easily misled politicians.

The need is there for qualified inspectors, not more bodies wiling to look the other way for a fish or bribe.
Is there a Naval Architect on staff in the dept? Ha Ha Ha. right.
More Government incompetency and bloating.

Bahamian civil society is silent, loaded with cowardice and self preservation quite frankly.
However the above miscreant aught to be thankful, as a strong civil society would not allow his ilk in politics. Nor any existing PLP for that matter. The FNM is no better.
The real dichotomy is their speech and high moral ground while opposing, (either bunch) which turns to thievery and skullduggery once elected. Seems a given. #shops aught to offer odds.

IF: The government can approach anywhere hear 70% of private sector supply and demand costing. at present they are worse than 10% at best.
So, the minister better get his current model shaped up by a large margin at least.
Caveat: it is doomed to fail, but seems they gotta do it the hard way and the economy will collapse for other reasons prior anyway.

Gd forbid Bahamians are ever judged and treated the way Bahamians treat the Nationals of other countries poorer than they.
We all covet and want to live the first world lifestyle,

Being elected or appointed has nothing to do with Intelligence, it is all about being an obedient lackey.
Under British rule it was all about following rules, Since self Determination it has been about following a person or party.
Hence the total break down and lack of continuity, the arbitrary decision making (or lack thereof) and 5 year shutdown/redirects as we change our Jockeys.
Bahamians can neither follow nor enforce even the most simple rules. Selective enforcement aside.
Examples abound.

Still, for an Island with nothing, at least this is something. Be interesting to see what tax concessions the Government gives besides the H.C.A.
