"National Dialog"? Just get the hell out of the way, Solar is well covered under the Canadian (or international) electrical code. There is nothing to talk about!
Last that was heard by official notice some few months ago was for any and all who have connected Solar to the grid were ordered to disconnect same!
Dumb asses.
Positive pile of Bovine waste product.

Trying like hell to get Henfield to play their game, lure him in and cut him down.
Typical. Miller received the treatment ALL politicians could use a repeated dose of.
Humiliation and public shaming.
Stay the course Mr. Henfield, you are under their skin.

First, one name does not a movement make. For this to succeed Dozens of Bahamians should be speaking via coordinated, persistent efforts.
A single name/point person amounts to personal rule, same crap that has us where we are.
Do not under any circumstances meet with ANY existing Political or Government people or Politicians.
They will own you from that meeting forward. Force them to address you via public forums.
Maintain focus and maintain the trust of the people.
They will panic, they will insult, they will definitely threaten.
They may even follow through with whatever they threaten.
Remember, you threaten their way of life, their personal power, their source of income.
The treasury.
You may well change something, if you stay away from their rules, their field, their game.

Interesting how the Chamber allows itself to be used to field the prospects of yet more taxes.
To be sure they are on a time line for implementation, with only typical Government incompetence standing in the way. Will no doubt have the customary "summary conviction clause" included, so the minister can target any unruly serfs.

This march was but the beginning, but the real question is where will it go?
how will it end up? One has to understand you are protesting the individuals themselves who have turned the treasury into their own slush funds, turned their Elected authority into personal power, and they will not want to give it up easily. It is noted that a few of the "problems" showed up themselves.
Any game plan, for any objective that runs counter to the status quo, will have to be sustained and long term, and must develop in pace with the peoples stomach for adversity and challenge, and as things get progressively worse economically and socially.
It is a start for accountability however, albeit late.

The very nature of Authority usurped by Personal power at each and every level of Government.
Take away the rules, what should Civil servants follow? new rules? Based on what?
to the extent they can get away with it, personal edict. Beyond that, the whim of their senior, and theirs above them right to the top.
Once the rule of law is undermined, everything is at risk.
Even the courts would have decades of difficulty clawing back the trust and respect of the population.
Same for the Police. Politicians should never be trusted, but ever regarded as a necessary and limited evil.
It can be fixed, but first and foremost, the problem should be understood thoroughly.
And that has not happened yet.

do not meet the pm, and certainly not in his office!
It is the surest way to undermine the movement.
Next will be photo ops and claims that the movement is on his team!
How will you refute that?
It will appear the leadership of the movement has sold out.
Let him come out in the street and say what he will to Everyone!
This march is potentially only the beginning,
not the end.
Keep it peaceful people!

Here we go again, meaning well no doubt but reality says it will not work, as you cannot legislate people into lawful behavior UNLESS the laws are equally and consistently enforced.
In this, we have failed completely. Once gone a civil society is incredibly hard to restore, without drastic measures which circumvent the rule of law themselves.
And therein lies the danger: We are already well on our way to Oligarchy, tribal rule.
This is the catch 22, which has been faced by many countries, especially former Colonies.
Few have reversed their decline by anything short of despotic rule.
Unfortunately that also proves very hard to get rid of!
No, we have taken a Constitutional Monarchy and successfully reduced it to near rubble.
Give us a bit more time, we will finish the job.

This march, (or whichever inevitable March or protest came first)
is exactly why they accepted armored Vehicles and riot gear etc from China!
Hopefully none of them can read the Chinese instructions, or they are made with typical Chinese quality controls and therefore won't work.
Give them no excuse to use their arsenal against Bahamians, keep it peaceful !
