The Government approach has become one of not minding the destruction of what you have or what exists for their own ends/profits. Little harbor has existed as the safe haven for yachts large and small in inclement weather for decades, Awaiting calm weather across the tongue in little harbor, it is picturesque, it is timeless.it is a breeding area for green turtles, (I have seen them in there by the hundreds, many times) Shoehorning a frigging commercial marina in there indicates a willingness to destroy anything unique in the country for 30 pieces of silver. Bahamians will not even be left with 40 acres and a mule. Disgraceful.
When have they ever delivered anything promised without lies, ulterior motives, graft, back handedness, kickbacks, inefficiency, waste, foreign consultants, delays, increased debt? Did I miss anything?
They fail to present to the public and fail to be honest about the end objective, and the bills when enacted are failures in themselves! Incompetence coupled with hidden agendas, foreign unelected masters, imf, oecd, wto, eu, and a dozen others, all holding up "standards" to be adopted and adhered to, but we completely ignore our own existing laws and regulations.
Which is exactly how most of the hand Guns come in. Sure, They must be declared upon entry by visiting yachts, but who checks that they left? Between that omission and the opportunists both American and Bahamian illegal guns Vs. licensed is probably 10:1 Bahamian vessels must check out when leaving, both Bahamian and foreign must check in when arriving, anyone else see the issue here?
Fear not Birdie, plenty ignorant FNM and PLP die hards drinking party Kool Aid, waiting for their turn at the crumbs. Meanwhile the transparency here is very clear. Singing for his supper. So Sad. Merry Christmas everyone!
Apparently we are stupid, as we keep eating this stuff up. but end up diminished further. A few rush in to "get their piece" but by the time the Political skim their cut even they get screwed. Meanwhile the recipients of Crown land, concessions, fanfare must think we are total idiots.
Yet another perfect example of failed self Governance, broken down systems. Harsh? Yep, reality can be very very harsh. Ironic that the "Government should help them" when they, The Government, is the core problem.
One dry piece of road 12 ft up with water either side and all the way to down town Freeport! Must be brave kicking a few million to Babak as a consolation prize for losing his bid to hijack the Port Authority. Word is every time Brave visit Freeport he is chauffeured straight to Babak's Condo! Bunch of shameless crooks with a blind leader.
And if someone had died of infection from a "Free" procedure? who would we blame? (and damn fast to blame we would be!) Obviously Government if no permits are in place. Mr. Kravitz aught to have notified the Government of his intentions, and while our current Government would have placed monetary and other under the table stipulations against the effort Permits and Authorizations should have been in hand. Government corruption and incompetence in all other areas while glaringly obvious should not be used to throw away all standards of professional operations. Goodwill and altruistic efforts are applaudable, but throwing away the rules is what has us in this national morass in the first place! I hope these Dentists were qualified and in good standing in their own country but this should be confirmed, and that is done by getting the necessary approvals from our own dental board/Government! This need justifies the end excuse is used too damn much and most often by Governments themselves to control people and private enterprise. The end result is always suffering and stagnation leaving all worse off in the end.
