The Hawksbill Creek Agreement is little understood by those who are already in Freeport,
even less so by those in Nassau.
Add the Political animosity and stagnation in the Port Authority Management and ownership,
all all you have is a sleepy out island with incredible infrastructure.
With most if not all the assets separated from the Port Authority proper,
(Thanks to Messrs. Ingraham & St. George, C.1992) the port Authority is but a shell.
Possibly the greatest wasted asset the country ever had.

Sorry Mad hatter, it was H.A.I and Laing that instituted this "New Rule" without regard for existing statute law, The Hawksbill Creek Agreement.
Structured to require 80% of licensees to agree to any proposed changes.
So ironclad that H.A.I. had to write and pass separate legislation, the Freeport Bylaws act to re-instate the exemptions from real property tax and business license fees that expired in 1993. It is the Freeport Bylaws Act exemptions that expire in 2015.
He could not extend these exemptions thru the H.C.A.
Buggers change rules willy nilly without legal cover, and then still act beyond their authority.
Not that I expect them to read such, but in watching this case,
Customs stepped well beyond their lawful recourse most likely under political direction.
however, the Government nor customs can allow themselves to be shown at fault,
as it will open the floodgates of accountability and clean the windows of transparency,
two things that are the stuff of civil servant and political nightmares.

The Chinese should have built a prison for us instead of a stadium!
The Prison is used 365 days a year, the Stadium a fraction of that.
Built to house 400?
Currently holding thousands.
do we still think we are capable of self Governance?
The elected do not pay their power bills, their Property Taxes, and probably a host of other costs that the ordinary citizen must pay,
and now we hear that they selectively turn some peoples power off for non payment, but allow others to ride for free.
What a disgrace.

The Government wants VAT hidden, just like Duty, so the average Bahamian cannot see it is their Government raising prices!
Lack of transparency and awareness of just how much our Government costs us is the one thing Government has always hidden behind.
Jan 1st is already a joke, but the Government jokes are becoming more costly.

The youth are not stupid, even though possibly ill educated, they see the garbage that passes for Justice served in the courts, they have felt the heavy hand of a police officer using brute force against them,
They see that Justice is selective.
Vigilante Justice always appears where ever corruption and selective justice is widespread and worse, accepted.

Ok, so do without foreign help, obviously needed,
and do without power too!
We are jumping at ghosts at every turn,
mired in conflicts of interest and paranoia.

Anybody know what happened to the last group that protested?
The ones found somewhere on Prince Charles Drive,
as they didn't know where the embassy was!
Deplorable that we are sanctioning this sort of human rights violation.

But Brent did resign over the Hot Mix Contract,
something no PLP would ever do!
Seriously if the Public and the opposition all have a good idea what is going on, but Christie is Nonplussed, we have way more serious questions to ask!
Also, how is the Bahamian front/shell company game going over at the BEC acquisition Dept?
Taking awhile isn't it.

Funny thing is the Bahamas doesn't spy on anyone except Bahamians,
and only because we post everything on Facebook!
Still working on sip sip.

PLP nor FNM think twice about throwing a Bahamian under a bus,
chicken shits can't face criticism or the truth.
Nor can they fight a fair fight.
No one is safe under tribal rules, even those who swear allegiance to their leader,
constantly have to prove they are bought and paid for.
I seriously doubt the U.S. Govt would have Bahamians writing reports for them in any case.
