N.I.B. is a Ponzi scheme by definition, with Government playing the roll of Madoff. The day it was created we all knew it would not be there for the Citizens in the future, confirmed when Government amended the legislation to allow them to "borrow" the peoples money a few years later.
My concern is what are the Chinese asking for in return? They are the far east after all...... Can't believe MSC all of a sudden got feeling philanthropic.
Asinine to develop Nassau any further, but it can use a serious clean up! Put a couple hundred million into out island infrastructure and stop with the Nassau centric thinking, which is driven by fear of the out islands developing beyond Nassau.
This will never benefit a single soul, as 1) Government and its bpl/urca/Ministry of works people don't know squat and 2) some lackey that doesn't know squat will get the contract. Or 3) a foreign company will get the contract and rebate the appropriate kickbacks and eventually get hamstrung before any of it is turned on. Isn't the Sport center solar still sitting idle?

Junkanoo peaked in the mid to late 70's, used to be continuous as groups battled it out with their beats and sounds. Seems to have become a lackluster show fraught with crimes of opportunity. So Sad.
The issue is basic adherence to the rule of law. no matter which set. We however have yet to administer our rule of law and regulations properly, or have a political class who follows them either administratively or personally. When we arrive at a decent level of behavior with our existing rules, we can chat. A Prime example is the headlong rush by Ingraham starting in 1992 to pass laws to overcome our inability to observe and obey the existing laws. Problem is we selectively apply the old and new laws. Seems we are the problem, not the system of governance.
So they provide data at a relatively high cost and moderate service (sometimes) and want to tell us how to use the data? Elon is gonna destroy them both.
So Does Mr. Gibsons $2.5m get added to the $12m already owed to other successful litigants who have been waiting patiently for the Government to obey the courts?
