It would be nice to have a government, any government, under promise and over deliver. Surprise us. Let us come to you with Kudos, after the damn jobs are done. Used to be campaign lies were just that. Now they extend into 5 years and beyond.
They have lost significant numbers of medium and large sized licensees/business concerns, and are counting "vendor" licenses in their total count. Very simple. Small "at home" vendor licensees cooking lunches etc. Deceptive, but typical Port Authority spin.
BTC and Cable think they have a problem with Hulu and Netflix? Wait Til Musk delivers satellite based Internet/phone/TV streaming service at speeds that will blow BTC and CABLE away. It is already here! they are worried about the wrong threat!
Every argument Mr. Johnson presents is ancillary and null and void. No Commercial should, and does apparently mean none. He does not seem to grasp that in the future there can be no economic activity. He will not be the last to sink money into a venture that will fail due to one law or the other that cannot be complied with, be it zoning or Health/environmental, or legality of the activity itself. However, how does this potentially affect existing businesses operating in residential areas? Could one argue reasonable expectation seeing as this has been spreading over the last 50 years? Might residents seek to evict businesses operating in other neighborhoods? Zero enforcement strikes again. We are not fit to change our own nappies it seems.
Is he stupid enough to believe the Director of the Red Cross is not salaried? Of any other NGO Here or elsewhere? Yes, many people volunteer, and thank God they do, but someone has to run the NGO and be responsible to the Memorandum of Understanding and the Articles of association. Pure political red Herring and yes, the majority will gobble it up. However, next time around there will be no one who will touch it, start it, organize it or pitch for donations to it. But I will also say: Someone agreed to pay her via a contract, and signed it.
Poor town planning and enforcement, creates a situation where civil servants and politicians will break their own rules in order to facilitate what they need or want. The ends do not Justify the means. No matter the petition strength, a rezoning should require gaining the 100% support of the actual residents. Also the Government should be a facilitator in the acceptable placement of commercial type land use. Find another location.
So they create laws and do not enforce them, so they write new laws. With this new "withholding Agents" they will create more pathways to facilitate noncompliance. Insane. Simply enforce the laws.
Anyone who gets involved with the Political, either party, should know the potential to become political cannon fodder or get thrown under the buss. No matter how good the intent or job. Political expediency and purpose never correlates to competence or purpose.
