Oh how short our memories are. Prom Pindling to AD Hanna, Roker and Ingraham, Fred Mitchel burning a copy of the constitution outside Parliament, too many other mini Me's to mention.
Political persecution is alive and well in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
Always has been.
The offices and departments across the Governmental services have been used to block, stall, and outright deny Bahamians AND Residents the services they have a right to.
It is one of the principal reasons nothing will change. The day Bahamians realize we do not have to beg for those services we have a right to the change may start.
Until then, we will continue to elect those unfit to govern, changing them out like dirty undergarments, wondering why we suffer from persistent crotch rot.

Amazing how we Bahamians always defecate where we eat (figuratively)
AKA take a good thing and screw it up.
Every time. Without fail. even without Government intervention apparently.
Poor pigs will soon be Salt pork on the hoof!

On Stand-off deepens on swimming pigs’ fees

A joke with no humor. The GB airport could get a basic clean up for $3m if the government is involved.
Another Government fiasco smothered in incompetence.

On $3m earmarked for GB hotel and airport

We really need updated Lien laws and a credit rating structure to go hand in hand.
Money in business does not go from customer to your hand, it pays vendors, taxes, salaries (overheads) with the owner pretty much last.
Overcome that publicly held fallacy first and foremost.

The_Oracle says...

The Evil in that act was that the Port Authority got 20 year exemptions for themselves and Hutchinson, and threw the Licensees (read Voters) under the bus.
A total abrogation of the H.C.A. far beyond the damage Pindling did initially, and Ingraham through his ignorance turned grudge against it.
Across the board stupid is as stupid does.

The mistake is in thinking that politicians would resolve the national debt with the revenue.
The national debt would no doubt increase.

And have all bigs assessed by an independent Quantity Surveyor.
Government pays ridiculous sums for buildings/construction/services.
Insane sums.

I have seen this before, in situations when the threat (usually by Government) is stood down,
the AG office tries to argue that the issue is resolved. Far from it.
Unless it is resolved in the courts, the threat is always present.
If not one set of idiots it is the other who will try again, and again.

The last batch of candidates were clearly ill advised selections, please get with people who can give an objective opinion on potentials BEFORE you announce them.

No worries, the Cops will eat the evidence. :) :)
