The risk of insurance is not held here, most if not all the local companies are merely brokers. The actual insurers are not in this jurisdiction, and therefore not subject to the Minnis doctrine of doing for you with someone else money. An interesting conundrum.
They aren't looking at small fry either. They're looking at medium to large insolvencies. That's where their money in fees is. That they're getting ready is telling. The damage is done, but who has the stomach for restarting after this hit? A double hit for a couple islands that were significant revenue generators.

And while the excessive jerrymandering of life in these islands may have helped prevent cases, it has also created problems in more ways than can be imagined. Arbitrary, inexplicable, erratic, and worst of all applied haphazardly. The poor just got poorer, The Middle class decimated. All of the preventative measures that actually may have helped could have been accomplished without subverting the constitution and without seizing power under the guise of a "competent authority" No, Minnis has set a precedent to be condemned and never repeated.
