The most odd thing about BTC is their Facebbok page. They will have outages going on 12-24hrs and their page will read for 24hrs, "we're investigating and we'll update you soon". There wont be a single update posted over the course of the outage. And yes the design for the non informative useless message "is" professionally done. But this is what we do all through the Bahamas, hide substandard behind nice clothes and pretty makeup. It cant change because every election we promote a whole new set of unqualified people to get their vote. Those unqualified people then do everything in their power to get rid of the smartasses. Cant have any one showing them up. So you end up with an executive where the dumb people rise to the top then glory in never haven gotten good grades in school but being in charge. Dr Minnis and Lanisha are perfect examples.

"*He added that the ABM had paid $50,000 to have SeaZ Pass added to its site in comparison to DigieSoft’s $3.355m.*"

I've been saying for over 5 years now that theyve found a way to shuttle money out the treasury with absurdly priced technology contracts. MyGateway should have cost no more than 500k but was priced at 5m per year for 5 years. Absurd. God knows how much the govt website overhaul will ultimately cost, the PS was impressed that they could add a form to submit questions and make it responsive supporting mobile phone layouts. Maybe they asked for an extra 5million to include the extra file.

Yup. Beggars and thieves is correct. I hear people talking about going to a republic and local govt, exactly what will change when the same people have to vote and begging fir money to vote for the local govt representative **and** you have political forces with access to our resources willing to accomodate them? The mindset has to change first and that involves teaching children what character and ethics are. These greedy men and women just looking for Nygard and Sam to give them money and een realize that they paying a huge price to get it

This result is bad news for both parties.

"*The issue for me is that I turn out my voters and I won,” he said. “We turned out our voters. *"

**I guess they have to put a positive spin on it, it's only natural but to consider a 65% turnout as an endorsement and 35% support of registered voters as "good news" is quite a bit of a stretch. Seems like people have no more confidence in this administration than they had in Minnis'**

I tell you I believe there's a secret society of "the Dumb" meeting in the dark corners and strategizing to destroy the Bahamas by spreading ignorance.

To your point, this is what laws do for us:

"*The police force, the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection, and the Forestry Unit are investigating the removal of what is claimed is 210,000 square feet of mangroves from an area in Adelaide Village, Attorney General Ryan Pinder told Guardian Business yesterday.*"

How long does it take to clear 210,000 sq feet of mangroves? Nassau is smaller than Taylor Swift's back yard. Are we serious? Will the AG agree to another "secret" fine once he ferrets out the culprit? An integral aspect of punishment is that its public. All while Brave Davis flies to another intl climate conference to ask the world to save us.

Just like AirBNB, the removal of the immoveable properties act brought new money into the country but it was a doubled edged sword. If you have a loaf of bread for sale and a foreign man willing to pay 2000 for it while the Bahamian saying, thats just a 2 dollar loaf of bread, who will you sell it to? Land has been priced outside the reach of the average Bahamian, now some voices are floating the idea of pushing Bay St development south to make space for likely wealthy foreigners who want high priced residential suites on Bay St. Once again it will be hailed as economic development bringing billions into the country. All for the good of "us". At the same time wrongheaded and unbalanced as it disenfranchises the most vulnerable Bahamians.

The main problem in the Bahamas is, we een "us"
