They're apples and apples. Exactly the same. By your words you proved you do not understand the concept of honour in the Westminister system. It's not about being proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt over 2 years of trails. It's the appearance of guilt and the distraction associated with it

"*Righteous*"???

Resignation in politics is about 2 things, you actually did something wrong or you are embroiled in some mess that is so distasteful you are a huge distraction to the party's agenda or damaging the nation or the party's brand.

Adrian Gibson, charged with alledged bribery, selfishly goes to the "*honourable*" house every day, he has no concept of his ethical or honourable responsibility. It's about "him". He finishes how he started, "*I think I should be a cabinet minister*". The only person that tops him is Cornish, with allegations of rape over him, making speeches about being part Prime Minister

I hope this stops the talks of Chester Cooper as the automatic heir apparent.

Speaking of noone in particular, "*young*" is not the sole qualification of leader, and in this country, "*successful*" definitely isnt. Cuz who knows if the money flowed over or under the table. Our first criteria should be Honesty followed by ethics then character.

The very very very odd thing about that situation is the workers appeared to be living in the hotel. That is beyond odd. What hotel in talks of renovation lets workers live in guest rooms? Offices? About 2 months ago after hearing Chinese immigrant after Chinese immigrant caught in smuggling operations to the US, the question I asked here was, "*were any of those persons employed at the Pointe?*" If Haitian nationals are rumoured to pay 2000 per trip what would a Chinese national pay? And how many years would they be indentured to pay off the debt? Another thing that disturbs me about the Chinese workers is how invisible they are. Recall almost a decade ago when Chinese construction workers staged a protest about how badly they were being treated? We never heard another thing about it. Who knows what happened to them. Wasnt it also reported that the employer had their identity documents? "IF" thats the case, its a classic trafficking scenario.

Again I say we run a stupid nation. How is the DPM caught in the middle of this nonsense?

**The real problem in all of this is the corruption aid that politicians have for decades included in every law: ~"*at the discretion of the minister*"**

Every country probably has a similar *break glass in case of emergency* power. The problem here is the power is used indiscriminately, randomly, irresponsibly, nontransparently and much too often for personal gain and stupidity. We must start electing honest ethical competent thinking people to parliament. No law maker in their right mind would expect an immigration minister to ok a prisoner getting married in jail, because he has the "*legal authority to allow it*". Here we often hear, "*well the law doesnt say he cant... so*".

We run a stupid nation. It only takes 10 in power to do so. Every tourist, the EU, the smugglers, Nygard, Sam, the Chinese, they all know it.

As I said before Bell will be allowed to survive (because it looks like he's the patsy), until he's embroiled in the irrecoverable embarrassment for the govt

They could show more care for Bahamians, but showing care for Haitian nationals is what they should do. Most people, "most", are familiar with the good samaritan and think of him as a great person to have helped the traveler in need when noone else did.

The irony of that story is the Samaritan is someone everyone would have spit on because he was "*Samaritan*" and the lowest of the low class by society, the traveler in need was the same status as the people who passed by without helping, some most likely knew him personally. The Samaritan ironically was what we expect *human* to be.

Haitians Chinese Russians Czechs shouldnt come here illegally, if they do they should be subject to what the law prescribes but not mistreatment, they're all people just like our mothers and fathers, sons and daughters

Well they could send us the LBGTQ ambassador Jamaica rejected. We honestly would have no reason to reject the ambassador as so many in the David administration are also LBGTQ.

As a general principle I do think its wrong for the US to force their culture on another country/culture. Its no different than what Columbus did to the new world and the Americans did to the Native Indians

On Years go by and still no ambassador

Given the choice of the people, I thought Brave Davis had great potential, probably still has it, but its become apparent to me that he has no interest in leading.

He would make a great ceremonial diplomat. He loves giving speeches and he's good at it. It's a wonderful story for school children because it appears that he overcame a speech impediment to be able to do so.

Just think that for a year on attaining office he ignored what a visionary or leader should have known was our greatest threat. Energy. Its led to a 71% increase in electrical costs for businesses. We haven't seen the real fallout of this yet. They havent as yet adjusted their prices for the increased cost. And Brave Davis left all of this in the hands of the Financial Secretary.

He's certainly better than Minnis, but in the end neither appears ready to do the work of leading.

The root of this problem is corruption.

This uprising of the poor has been witnessed throughout history when starving poor people reach the point where they see no other option, prices are increasing, the rich are getting richer and the ruling class is totally out of touch with the suffering of poor, partying while people starve. It has never been pretty, and the walls and security have never held up against the mass of zombies

Just think what happened here when people saw an unvaccinated person as a threat. Doctors openly stated that theyd let them die rather than treat them and families threatened their unvaccinated relatives. People lose their humanity very quickly when they believe their survival is threatened.

The urgent need is to stop the violence and feed the starving. But someone also needs to think longterm, because if in that process of aid corruption continues fuel is getting stored for the next fire.

Haiti needs transparent corruption free govt and aid. I'm not sure it's even possible. Leadership in these tropical nations appears to be a magnet for get rich by any means necessary flamboyant scammers. You only need about 10 to be involved, the rest just have to maintain silence for job security while the deals go through. Was the murder of the former PM and links to Haitian leadership ever resolved?

If Haiti sounds like future Bahamas it's because all the seeds are here.
